I moved to downtown West Jefferson about a year ago. I am only 3 doors down from Black Jack's and I am in there a lot. After trying almost everything on the menu, I have to say there is nothing there that I don't like! Everything is delicious! The owner, Virginia Brown does the cooking herself. She is there seven days a week and does not settle for anything less than perfection in herself and her staff. The staff is friendly and willing to help make your dining experience a pleasant one. Virginia also makes it a point to come out and speak with each and every customer, which is not a regular practice in most restaurants. If you are in the West Jefferson area and you want a good burger, sandwich or appetizer, I highly recommend Black Jack's Pub and Grill.

Just tried Black Jacks, both the burger and philly jack were excellent, we also had the hot wings, some of the best I have eaten in this area, the bar also has several craft beers instead of the normal domestics which was a nice change of pace, the restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly!

You can tell that the posts for good food are made by friends. This place is nasty and their is no management. I have been three times and each time was awful. Bar flies are in abundance.

NCladybug Our family eats at Blackjacks once a week - the food is wonderful -especially the stuffed cabbage! The service is great and Virginia - the owner is like family. We started going for the hamburgers and continue to go for all the other dishes too.

I don't know where the other two people ate, but it wasn't Black Jack's Pub. Virginia is a wonderful cook and a genial hostess. Everything we have tried on the menu has been unique and delicious. One of our favorite places in West Jefferson.
