Lol. Sorry folks, the signs on my property did not meet two off these qualifications:

1) No sign shall be permitted in the right-of-way of a fully controlled access highway.
(2) No sign shall be closer than three feet from the edge of the pavement of the road.
(3) No sign shall obscure motorist visibility at an intersection.
(4) No sign shall be higher than 42 inches above the edge of the pavement of the road.
(5) No sign shall be larger than 864 square inches.
(6) No sign shall obscure or replace another sign.

And it's just a Class 3 misdemeanor for a person to steal, deface, vandalize, or unlawfully remove a political sign that is lawfully placed under this section. GS 136-32

Thats what most of us have been saying for years now. We get rid of poe and the clown posse puts her on a board where she gets rid of Donna Weaver for them.

kleptocracy

Oh please give me a break. You obviously don't have a clue how corrupt things are with the current political maneuvering of Roark, Richardson and Rose. The only thing those three are doing is scratching each other's back as well as Yearick's and other cronies to benefit themselves. What favors do you tkneed no those three will expect from Yearick now in exchange for his raise and padded contract extension? Perhaps filling open positions with their cronies as has been the case for the past several years? Or turning a blind eye to increases in board pay such as the Sovial Servies Board that has increased their own pay to $100 per meeting? Oh wait isn't Yearick's closest friend, Terry Sexton, on that board and Judy Poe?
Give me a break people- get rid of the ones involved in political cronyism and put some people on the board who Will REALLY get Ashe County Back on Track - not ines who continue to spend for personal gain.

We have known that for years. Just how would it be a conflict? Donna will think for herself.

Keep in mind you have crooked hillery and her husband who has already spent 8 years in the white house running for president.

Does every one know that Donna Weaver and Sands are dating and will soon be married? Isn't that a conflict at best? keep that in mind when voting please!

If they were on the right of way, what you did was a federal offense. Tampering with campaign materials is a big one

I pulled a few signs up today in front of my house. If they had ask, I'd have let them put them out.

ive only noticed one of his signs. That was last night, I think on my way out to the river. I thought it kind of funny that he had them made up in Hardee's orange.

I noticed Roark had 2 signs in front of Winners circle but none in front of his headquarters at Hardees. There is a real lack of signs for the commissioner race. I am guessing Roark pulled these out of his basement from the last election.

Like I said, they tend to think money grows on trees

True, but to Polly's credit at least when she was in the classroom she was a hard worker. No one could say she didn't earn her pay. Today's teachers just show up, complain, teach kids to complain, convince them they are victims. (Look at the Gay Straight Alliance club at the high school....poor little victims. ) "Teach" them via social media while checking their own Facebook pages.....sounds like a tough job to me. At least Miss Polly knew how to show up on time, do her job, and conduct herself in a professional manner.... more than most so- called teachers today. But I do agree PJ is a FIRM believer that government is the answer....no matter what the question; and that more $$$ fixes everything.

On second thought they should go ahead and build the middle school. Lots of little minds full of mush to influence and nothing like a shiny new building to establish a culture of entitlement.

Donna Weaver check
Larry Rhodes check
Richard Blackburn check minus
Polly Jones check minus

The grading stops at this point. No point grading the preschoolers

She would be one then that is sitting on a board that has voted to build a new school when there are counties around us that have 80 y/0 buildings and they are kept up. She also has voted to buy land from the dollar family for 40 grand an acre with no access road. Yeah she is thinking, asking questions, and being up front with the voters.

Still no mention of what issues she is actually in support of or that she is against. How much money is she going to try to redirect to the schools for wastes like the school yard barneys?

Aw Shucks

Polly is currently serving on the Board of Education and has experience with local government through her years on that board. You are correct in that she has no experience with a DSS budget but she will be willing to listen and learn as well as research the issues and vote accordingly. I would rather have someone willing to make an informed decision than the 3 stooges (Roark, Rose and Richardson just to be very clear) that we are currently stuck with - not to mention that asinine manager.

We all know that Donna knows about budgets, the county government, and most of all how complicated dss is. So what is it that makes Polly so great. She must be three days older than dirt so will she be like the bremco board and cant even use a computer? What is it that she will fight for or against?

Some say Hillary Clinton fights for what she believes in too. Don't mean I want to vote for her.

You're correct Joe - I put in the wrong power company - the entire point though is that Polly Jones is the type of person that stands up and fights for what she believes in - and that is Ashe County
