There has been nothing on goashe to report other than the new village idiot that doesn't like his name.

I've often wondered what 'unique users' means.

Wilkes is ironically full of thieves and busy bodies.

I really don't know why, but the users of both GoSurry and GoAshe are a lot more active in the classifieds than the forums. The traffic is there, and they read, but they don't post.
As you know, I've often suspected that a lot of people are afraid to post for fear of being attacked or insulted by other users. But there's just not enough time in the day to moderate them all, and no one in Ashe ever reports anything, so I'm not sure how to correct that.
Back in the beginning years of GoWilkes, a lot of long-time users thought of themselves as "ambassadors", so to speak. They took personal ownership of the site, and if someone got out of line then they would be quick to step in and try to make it better. I don't see a lot of that anymore, though, on any of the sites.

That's a lot of number twisting to try to get around the fact that GA now can go more than 24 hours without a new post

Jim74 (view profile) | Posted 7:15 pm, 09/20/2015 | Thanks folks. I got potatoes and cabbage at Sheets Bridge today. 50 lb bag potatoes was $12.00. 50 lb cabbage was $12.00. Fixed cabbage for supper. Appreciate all responses. I live on the other side of the mountain. Most Ashe people don't look at Go Ashe much. I find out more from Go Wilkes. |
FYI, I copied this thread to GoAshe after it was originally posted on GoWilkes. Most of the replies came from GoAshe.
GoAshe currently has an average of around 31,000 unique visitors a week. While that's a lot less than GoWilkes, the population of Ashe is only around 27,000. So the percentage of population is still very high, it's just that a smaller number of people means that there are less total posts.

If you're coming after taters, let me add there is a really great Mexican restaurant next to Walmart. You won't be disappointed.

From Millers Creek go north on Hwy 16 to the first STOP SIGN. Look to your left and that is Sheet's bridge.

I'd like a bag of Krinkle cut French fries if he has them.
