The Minnesota dude had been pulled over by the law 56 times.

An officer in Baton Rouge yelled gun. Likens to yelling fire in a theater.

Crazy gun owners don't know they are crazy. That's what makes them crazy gun owners.

I thought that too. I'm seeing today that the guy in Minnesota had a criminal record and could never qualify for a CCW permit.

Both of the guys that were shot by cops last week were packing guns. The one in Minnesota was doing it legally. He did something to make the cop fear for his life. Maybe it was just that he was a black man with a gun. But really, how smart is it for a young black guy to be packing heat even if he has a permit?

We had destroyed the black communities way before abortion was leagalized. The problem with law enforcement harassing and abusing black citizens goes back further than that.

The problem is we've made life to cheap. It's not the guns. It's the people.

Through abortion we've destroyed the sanctity of life. Paraphrasing Mother Teresa: When a mother can kill her old child, then there is nothing anyone cannot do.

We've destroyed the family unit through social engineering government policies such as the War on Drugs and War on Poverty. Both have destroyed particularly the family in minority communities. They've made criminals out of people who did no crime against others in many cases. Once labeled a criminal they find it hard to find jobs and gainful employment.

Our Welfare system is set up to discourage a man and woman from maintaining a family in that it rewards single parent homes with multiple children in ways a traditional family could not achieve with two parents in the home.

The solution is to end both the War on Drugs and the War on Poverty, neither has ever worked very well, they've led to the militarization of the police and led to an exponential rise in prison population for our country. It's about control.

Instead of the War on Drugs and War on Poverty has fought these last few decades concentrate on education. Not everyone can be a lawyer or doctor or rocket scientist, but we have a great need for welders, electricians, masons, etc. Train the inner city blacks to do these occupations, to give them hope and assist them to move where the jobs are. Turn away from leaders like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson who instill violence and riots wherever they go. Instead turn to the teachings of Martin Luther King Jr, Frederick Douglas and Booker T. Washington.

As a country we'd do much better to turn to Luke chapter 6 starting in verse 27 and going til almost the end of the chapter and do what it says. That's the problem though people aren't doing that, they are using the old testament law of an eye for eye and tooth for a tooth, and that only always leads to sorrow.

It happened right here under our noses. A trigger happy barney.

Departments need to weed out the trigger happy cowards looking for power trips

Train and retrain todays officers not to be so trigger happy or so quick to judge, while at the same time train the public to comply with commands of the officers. They will always have the upper hand. If a dispute arises, comply then let the justice system settle out the details in a courtroom. Violence cannot be settled with more violence, it only furthers the senseless bloodshed on the officers and civilians side.

It appears that it is open season on criminals and police officers. Before long the police will no longer respond to calls in certain areas of cities and towns, traffic stops will become an event with the cops yelling through loud speakers to the drivers to exit the car and submit to a search all for fear of losing their lives. Criminals will take advantage of the well placed outrage folks are displaying against law enforcement and take advantage of decreased enforcement activities and there will be increase crimes against others.
