They had no incentive to work with Obama, he largely played into their hands. His arrogance was his own undoing. He went on and did with his pen and phone what he should of been working with congress. That enabled them to continue to eat away at Democrats, 2016 isn't a fluke election. It has been 6 years coming.

Politically they can't do a full repeal. Recent polling finds more people like it than dislike it today. More feel like they benefit from it than don't.

It depends on who wins this argument, the Trump side or the Ryan side of the GOP. The Ryan side will argue that the House passes a repeal and then does nothing, instead using it as a position in 2018 that the Democrats are in the way in the Senate. That they could only repeal it if they had enough Senators (Democrats have to defend 24 seats in 2018, including 10 in states Trump won). If the Trump side of the party wins then you'll see the show repeal that fails, then Trump will look to make a deal, what can they do.

You should read something more current. They have already said it can't be repealed.

Here's a novel approach ......how about working together to improve it rather than just repeal it? Oh wait, they could have done that over the past 7 years.

The US House will pass a repeal, it will fail to pass the US Senate. I just don't see enough Democrat Senators crossing lines to invoke cloture. Sure the GOP could use a nuclear option like the Democrats did in passing it, and they'll pay a price for that......look how many seats the Democrats lost not just in Federal government but throughout all the states.

I think after the repeal fails they'll try to do some tweaks to it.

Ultimately even if they did succeed in repealing it, not knowing what replaces it you could be in worse shape afterwards, after all there is no incentive for the Health Insurance Companies to lower premiums or deductibles etc even if Obamacare was repealed.

With the new incoming President, do you think he will repeal Obamacare or even attempt to? I have read in various news reports that could be some 2 years away. Meanwhile the cost of health insurance skyrockets under the affordable care act. 2015- 78.00 a month, 2016 189.00 a month, now in 2017 they are saying 525.00 per month with BCBSA being as United Health care has pulled out of NC.
