Here's who you need to call if they are not doing it right. It's their job to check on this with the Forest Service and Water Quality folks

Dog, I doubt it's true. boomer is clearly one of those that is always jealous of anyone that's successful.

Booner, I hear much of the same as you. I do know that GM has a program that if the dealer requests it, the factory will do a cost share on the repairs. I know this for a fact. I have a good friend that is a Chevrolet service rep in another state.

I know of several repairs that went way over the estimate with parts installed without the owners approval. Repairs made, without the owners approval, during the safety inspection. The law is very plain on inspections. He is as slimey as the owner. Both of them have to screw their pants on in the morning. I have had dealings with both of them and speak from experience.

I guess the old adage, "you can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all the people all the time" holds true here

You need to call the epa on the logging company as they frown mightily if what describe is true. You dont have to give your identity to them.

Sounds like they dont know what they are doing to begin with if they have been cutting for 2 years.

......and a word about....Dear Old Nelson.....I had a 2001 Chevy Blazer......@ 38,500 miles the trans took crap.... I bought the Blazer with a little over 7 thousand miles on it. HAd all my Warranty work done with Nelson. Warranty expired @ 36,000. Nelson refused to call GM and ask for help on fixing it. I did and after many delays, which when on for over a month and repeated phone calls to their complaint line. I was turned down. Dear Old Nelson gave me a rebuild price for $1,600.00 for the repairs. After another 2 weeks he calls and ask if i want to pay for the clutches to be replaced......My answer... Is...Nelson..... you told me I would get a complete rebuild for $16 hundred...He says well that does not include the clutches......Final bill was $1,935.00...HE IS AS DIRTY AS THEY COME....Period......

......Maybe the reason they are not interested in selling cars is the fact the family stands to make millions on clear cutting over 200+ acres of prime Mountain land located off old highway 16. Staley Logging out of Millers Creek has been cutting the timber for the last 2 years. There is estimated to be 3 to 4 million board feet of timber......I like to go ride my 4 wheeler up in the area and it is a disgrace what they are doing up there.Pure Red mud running in to a class 2 water shed when it rains and that feeds the Reddies River. Oil cans and trash littering the sides of the creek......I really think they need to be fined and made to clean the mess up as the road use to be quite passable and now is completely broken down. It is a gravel road and is on the State Road map......

Everyone I know that deals with Nelson speaks just the opposite. He tries to discount parts for people that buy cars there. Especially repeat customers. And GM sets the amount of labor that every task is billed for. Some things take longer than GM says, some take less. They bill by GM's book. That's how all dealerships work. I'd trust the man to look after one of my concubines and a briefcase full of hundred dollar bills.

Nelson is the best. If someone is overcharged, I'm sure it was an honest mistake. Anyone can sell me a new vehicle, it's the service that keeps me coming back.

You are dead wrong. You won't find a more honest person than Nelson. If you can't get along with him, there's something wrong with you. That's just how it is.

When you catch him padding your repair order, it makes him a crook in my book. Former employees have told me that it is a common occurrence at Empire Chevrolet.

If Nelson leaves I might go back there. He is a bigger crook than J. C.

If Nelson ever quits or retires though, Empire will go to ****** over night

I tried buying several new vehicles at Mack Browns.....we got close, but never could close a deal there. And for WJ Chevrolet, their service department is the worse I've ever experienced. The best service department I've found is Empire in Wilkes.

Tell me about it. We drove one back one trip that overheated around GA/SC boarder and nearly blew the radiator cap through the hood. Lol

I think he got wound up in the auction and started losing track of what he was buying. And days the sale wasn't happening he would go to the flea market and by cases of crap. I enjoyed hanging out with Bill more because he wanted to fish. I think he wanted to fish more than he wanted to f***.

I stayed with Mack and Willa Jean several times. Went to the sale at Orlando with him. Kent and Johnny used to dread seeing what he bought. Most of the time they never knew until the car carrier (s) arrived

Mack on the other hand lived and breathed the business. Flash, did you ever go down to FL and see how he had his front yard packed with cars because he enjoyed going to the auction to buy them then had to figure out how to get them back to Boone?

The owners of the West Jefferson Chevrolet have been disappointed in its returns for years so wouldn't surprise me. Honestly on Mack Brown if the boys aren't interested in running it, it's better it get sold to someone that is interested in running it. Absentee owner is the number one cause of business failure.

I was very close friends with Mack and in fact we were kinfolks. He and Sammy were also very good friends. Mack told me Sammy regretted ever even thinking about going in the car business. I wish Sammy the best of luck

Doesn't Ross have multiple dealerships though? He may not be as big as the groups like Modern or Auto Group, but I thought he had several dealerships scattered around. And someone had told me Boone ford did sell out.
