Yep I'm off Aficinodo, I have never posted in here before but I have been reading for a long time. I have finally had enough of the crap from stuff I see in the community and nationwide. Everyone needs to open their eyes to local stuff and pay attention. We are getting the shaft, especially if you have kids that live out in the wilderlands of Ashe. I don't want kids to stay on schoolbuses 6 hrs a day, do you???

I know everyone screams about "liberals." Well so far everyone still has their guns and they still have the right to vote. People you can't run on fear. You must think about the availability of resources, if your family has food, if you have your basic needs. Please don't start saying we are worse off because of Obama, because Obama has nothing to do with the state of our county. It is all local politicians and state. Also don't scream less government because the minute you can't drive over a road because it has a chunk of asphalt missing who do you think fixes that. It sure ain't Adams paving on their own initiative. Our state government is currently controlled by a bunch of dimwits that are scratching the likes of Art Popes back. They they then scare everyone into believing that they can do better. When its more important to pay someone way too much for real estate or to provide for your family we have an issue. Also don't start screaming about lack of jobs because if you want a job there are plenty around, but you might just have to lower your standards a tad to get one.

I agree the 40k an acre is far to much. Shouldn't be more than half that. It's some of that scratch my back I'll scratch yours. Now we can vote for new members of the County Commissioners and Board of Education in November to express our displeasure.

But Clodhopper I don't give a crapola. I pay my taxes just as everyone else does. We have the right to fuzz and fume. Where is the anger over so much moolah being spent? No one went to that meeting, wasn't it at 5pm, my how convenient. No wonder no one showed up. Everyone was getting groceries, going home, or still working. Besides if you live in Clifton by the time you got there it was all over because it takes you a good hour to get to town. Besides extra money means extra textbooks, or new tires for buses, or heaven forbid pay for heating the new joint. Why on earth is everyone so complacent?

Do any of you have land for sale that you could put the Middle School on? They are going to pay 1.6 mil for the proposed site, FORTY (or there abouts) glorious acres. The tax value for the entire property (around 200 acres) is only 2 mil. So I think the Board of Ed is getting crapped on by someone. Where are all the concerned citizens out there??? Are we going to let our county pay 40,000 thou an acre for a school site, what gives? As a matter of fact there is a 40 acre tract in Smethport that is much cheaper.

I have got to scroll through the teachers at the middle school then and see which one I want to grace the class room named after the dog.
