And I would think her reputation would precede her wherever she runs. And those who use due diligence in there business affairs would avoid doing business wherever she is employed. I would avoid letting her type handle money like a dose of clap.

She still has 96 counties she can run through...

Wilkes ugh? Lets see... she has left her mark in Sparta, then on to Watauga, to Ashe and now Wilkes. Eventually, she will run out of surrounding counties. Look out Wilkes, here she comes and no doubt she will strike AGAIN!

moved to Wilkes and apparently works with her husband, another realtor

She's not had her real estate license for a couple of years now. Seems she's left the county too.....

no, any body can be a loan closer. real paralegals are licensed by state bar. she might have been a licensed paralegal but someone will have to file a complaint with the bar, they won't do it on their own. even if she has a license and loses it she can still handle closings if anyone will hire her (attorney has to be present, of course. JJ probably wasn't or he would have known)

is the para legal/ legal assistant/secretary/untrained help providing closing services required to be licensed by the Real Estate Commission?

With the court case-now how will the Real Estate Comm. view this?
Sure hope they take her license & not just give her a slap on the wrist like the court just did...
How many chances can we get for bad behavior? Others have done less & lost their licenses.

It was a second offense in fact but not in law since she was never charged criminally before. From what I heard she wouldn't have been charged this time if it had been left up to JJ. Last time she screwed him over she left and went to work for Keith Simmons. Then she went back to JJ and paid him the money she owed him to get her job back. I heard he had to sell mucho personal stuff to pay the money she took from closings. He'll prob hire her again so don't worry about her getting a job .FWIW, I heard she did this to employers in Boone and Sparta but wasn't charged. What has this girl GOT? Maybe I should find out :)

What a lucky Woman! A slap on the wrist for 50 grand, wow! Heck some people have received a death penalty for less. Wtf is this world coming to?

Exactly, if you're getting water from the well without repercussions. Why not continue to dip your bucket!!!

onlyinashe......perhaps pulling some time, just might make her think about what she has done and discourage her from doing it again, because it is apparent she has a problem!

Reading some of the previous post on this subject, isn't she alleged to be a repeat offender? If this holds true, what is a slap on the wrist teaching her?

Who did she hurt? If restitution is actually completed there is no harm, what good would placing her in prison serve except to cost the tax payers $30-$50k per year?

What is she suspended from.... surely she can't expect to hold down a decent job after this? I think it's a crying shame she doesn't have to pull time. She will NEVER learn her lesson. Why waste precious court time- just to slap her hand. I really don't know why I am shocked at the outcome.... I think our Justice System is pathetic.

Seems to be the norm for her, from reading some other post on this subject..
