While in boone this afternoon I remembered that Thursday is turkey and dressing day at Proper. So went by for supper. Had a great meal

One would have hoped that when they spruced up the roof etc outside that maybe they would have cleaned up and upgraded the crappers. Remember that the one who cook there use the same crappers, and hopefully wash their hands in there for whatever good that might do. Nasty place.

That sucks. Proper is one of my favorite places in Boone. Great food and very good prices. Plus, it's not some faceless chain. The only down side is thy only have like 8 tables and half of those are outside.

As long as Bantam Chef has been around, you'd think it would be a Ashe county Historical landmark.. And it should be without a doubt...

Bantam chief has eggs, tenderloin, gravy biscuits and coffee for around 5 dollars. The gravy is good. I prefer to not use the bathrooms.
