Protesting the National Anthem..

I find it disrespectful not to stand at attention and put your hand over your hear. At the same time though, I recognize others do not feel as such. While I couldn't do what some are doing I do believe the First Amendment gives them the right to do it. If the First Amendment isn't there to protect speech some might find offensive, then there isn't much point in it as everyone is offended by something. I know the common rumor is Colin converted but I've seen no evidence of that, he's actually Baptist by all accounts.

Why? For being disrespectful. For not honoring those that sacrificed. For being un-American. Most of them are muslim. They shouldn't be here anyways.

Why?

They should force these idiots to stand or kick them out.

Unless your owner buys into that plan, you'll sit the players and lose your job.

I agree with the coach that said " you sit for the national anthem and you'll sit for the rest of the game too"

There are several groups urging a counter protest of boycotting the televised showings of the teams with protesting players. As much money as there is in Pro Sports I doubt there will be a measurable decline in TV viewership with this counter protest, but for folks who this bugs, it is an option.

Something though they may want to keep in mind, they play a game for a living at the will of the team owner and the NFL. So while they have the right to protest, they only have the right to protest on the field as long as the owner or NFL decide to let them have that right.

I have no problem with anyone protesting, to each their own.

There is a saying one may digest.

Show respect, it costs you nothing. There is a right place and a right time to protest.

Remind yourselves of the westboro baptist church protesting at funerals of soldiers.

Completely agree that they have every right to protest.

However, those that protested(Sit) yesterday was in bad taste because of 9/11. The guys that locked arms was a much better way to get their message across than to sit. It is their right now matter if I liked it or not.

protest is why this nation was founded
