We used to eat where she works often. I just can't do it now because I can't hold my tongue. It is theft and is actually a felony. I figure she will try to edit the video.

It's pure and simple theft. Which also means whoever perpetrated it trespassed on his property.

Just because charges are dropped does not mean no crime was committed the first time. People drop charges for all kinds of reason.

If I was the Sheriff's office I'd raid her work, home etc and seize any video, computers, cameras etc. If they have evidence of a crime on them she has no right to withhold it until she makes a copy (or edits it).

I stand corrected.

Dog, the cameras were actually placed after she was charged the first time. She claims she has a video that proves what happened to the pug. She is talking about it on all of the social media pages that she posts on. She says she can't give details because of the investigastion. She claims she is making a copy before handing it over to law enforcement.

Scott the cameras have been long gone since she was charged by the barneys for a crime in which she committed no crime as all charges against her were thrown out of court. She has made the barneys, animal control, and the county look like fools. And I really dont like that. In no way am I condoning her way of doing anything.

Ashe Animal Control has followed all applicable state and local laws.

The pug would be the most expensive pet on the property. Meaning they would get more for adopting it out than any of the others. I'd subpoena her cameras she has to see if they caught the perpetrator on them and all video/pictures taken during the time that showed on the property of Mr. Cruz. In addition I'd hit her for locations of all the cameras.

Stealing the dog is a crime.

Irregardless of what you think of the lady or her motives the animal control of Ashe county has a long, long history of not doing their jobs. Two boards have turned their heads and let it go. Not even the threat of a fine fazed them. Its long over due for them to straighten up their acts. Most all animal shelters in the country now use social media as an advertisement for adopting animals. I dont know if Ashe even has a page.

Maybe the people of Ashe should call boondocks and get her fired. Since she likes to try to get people fired.

Just for the simple fact that **** can figure out how to turn her phone to landscape mode to take a picture, but can't turn it to landscape mode when shooting video makes me want to throw her in the pit with the fighting dogs and see which can come out alive.

Guess only the pug decided to pack and leave then....

Read up Timmmeeyy, he has numerous dogs on his property and has been cited by animal control. The news of it went all over the country making Ashe look foolish because animal control would not do their jobs. I noticed that animal control has had to come before the commissioners and give updates on the situation.

Could it be the dog just decided to move away on his own, to get out of the spotlight?

Anyone have a link to the viral video?

Yes it's legal. As long as I'm on my property or have permission from the owner where I install the camera, I can record you around your house all I want. I just can't record you inside. Also, I can put hidden cameras in all rooms of a rental property that I own and record everything as long as I don't record audio.

Is it legal for the dog activist to have a surveillance camera up to watch the property of this individual? I'm guessing if it is on someone else's property it is, but just doesn't seem right. She does have pictures up on her social media page of the property that she claims are from the cameras.

You have got to be kidding me----Williams is actually going to assign a detective to a missing dog? For the dogs sake I hope not.

http://bit.ly/1YnCCc8 Remember the Daniel Cruz property in Lansing at the center of a two month long animal rights firestorm? Well a pug that belonged to Cruz was reported as stolen Sunday morning, according to Ashe County Sheriff James Williams...
