So she operates without the knowledge of the board or the superintendent. I guess she has the rubber stamp with all the signatures in her desk.

I am assuming here but I would imagine that she would have a 100 percent control of the school systems budgeted money from state and local. Millions to juggle and play with at her discretion.

She cant control but so much money. Thats what the budget is for.

You control the purse strings you control the world. How does she retain all this power? 40 million dollar question. Would love to know, probably has dirt on many others in the system giving the fact of how dirty the system is. Or they keep her because she is the queen of dirt and does the dirty work that the board wants done because she has no conscience. Throw her name around to school employees and see the reaction you get.

How did she get all this power? How does she retain all this power?

There are no programs set-up for drop outs in our school system. These programs cost money and our school systems glorious finance officer P Yates has to save money to spend it on her useless daughter at Blue Ridge School. When you control the money in any institution you are the leader of the institution and some can't handle the power, it goes to there heads like it has Yates. This woman is a lier and a cheat in my opinion and should be looked at closely as to her handling of money. T. Holden just thought he was going to run the place, surely he has discovered the truth by now. Our children are missing out on so much thanks to the wasteful spending going on in certain schools.

You loud mouth members need to investigate the spending going on in the school system by pulling public records and asking tough questions to board members instead of complaining about the quality of education our children are getting. Our teachers in this county are for the most part wonderful and very educated and don't get even close to a fair shake with the school system we have. If money is needed or wanted in one school then staff is simply cut in another school that's deemed least important, or in some cases dropped from teacher status to assistant status with the salary cut to reflect the position. Our school system is a ruthless institution with in my opinion with Cheat at the helm which in the end causes our children to suffer at their hands.

Some of the time I think most of you take the opposite side from whatever Benchwarmer is saying. In this situation tho you are on the money and she is just whistling into the wind.

Benchwarmer I have to agree with the rest of the bunch here that you are way off base getting your information from high school students about their teachers. Really it isn't up to them to be concerned with whether they like or dislike the teachers they have. All they are supposed to do is participate in class, absorb all the information they can, and study for their tests. Then, it is the teacher's duty to report how the student did in a particular class. Once the students become mature adults then they might have an opinion about a teacher that count for anything.

Blanch, AKA Dbag, I am not Fins. Ask all the students you want. You'll get the same answers. Like I said, you might as well ask prisoners how many of them were falsely accused, set up, railroaded etc. We know where you work and you are trying to cover it up by accusing your fellow employees of wrong doing. Thus, the term Dbag comes into play.

You again show your brilliant mind blanch. The agent is no where near being fins, he has just got your number. LIke I said you had one family member blaming a teacher.

secretagent aka fins you are just blowing smoke up your own ***....I have talked to many students that go to the high school and pretty much they are all saying the same things. I can't stand a lazy teacher...FYI doggie and fins I told you that I don't work for the school system. So unless you know what is going on then put us some facts on here....I have chosen to do more investigation.

You don't need to name names. First, be certain that your complaining kid isn't blowing smoke up your tail. Then, if you really believe the kid has a legitimate problem with a teacher, schedule a meeting with that teacher and in a calm and intelligent way figure out what the trouble is. If the teacher won't do that or if you don't feel that you accomplished anything, schedule a meeting with the school's principal. If that fails, then you should have a meeting with the Superintendent. By that time I'm certain you'll have some satisfaction. After that I suppose you could go to the BOE. But be very careful-----kids back in our time and still today have a way of manipulating the facts to fit their situations. You have to be smarter than your ___ year old.

Which one libel or slander? Are you one of those teachers?

I would think that naming names in such a way on a public forum would be a good way to open one's self to a liable or slander lawsuit.

Farmer28

Sometimes naming names is the only thing that gets someone's attention. While you may be correct in that most parents who care about their children's education know who the problem teachers are, that doesn't mean that the board of education, superintendent, or even the principal realize that they are a problem.

Blanch is more likely taking revenge on some ex boyfriends at the high school

onlyinashe

Naming Names on this site is not looked upon in a positive light. The parents with students who care about the quality of education their kids are receiving know who the problems are and have the opportunity to let the School Administration know they will not tolerate their kids receiving a sub par education. It takes some effort and just squalling about a poor grade every 9 weeks will not fix the problem.
