Research has concluded that the difference is how the schools approach gender. Its not that one is smarter than the other. As a matter of fact they are the same. Its that girls are responding to education better than boys.

There is absolutely nothing to compare the differences between the chicks and hard heads. As stated by Howell there has always been a difference between but he uses the word "believes" the gap is widening. Well how would you know and what are you using as a guide?

I think it is sad that in all the stories like this fall through the cracks. This has been a problem for a while, not just here but nationally. However, I think this is something we can solve in our own community. While the focus of our elected officials are on a new middle school, I think we need to know how they plan to address this. I think its sad that we continue to place more emphasis on sports instead of education. I don't know if sports are the issue, but I do know that when sports lag behind they jump to fix the problems.
