Seafood store owner is a liar

The census showed 333 veteran owned businesses(Tax Numbers I guess) in Ashe. I am curious if others might be falsely claiming the same thing.

I've been glad to see the government has been prosecuting more of both types these cases. I think they really hammered that guy with the bin laden book. And I saw a lot of his fellow seals were pissed at him too

I couldn't care less about if you are a vet or not. I have never bought anything off this man and probably never will. It just amazes me how people celebrate one liar and condemn others all based on their military/veteran status.

Why?

I've said before, I don't care for guys that think they deserve special recognition and discounts because they willingly signed up for a government job. But I despise people that claim to have served and didn't, or exaggerate their service like claiming to have been a special operator when they were really a cook

I haven't had time to partake in these threads because I have a full-time job. usually get pissed when i read the first few lines of gossip from people who have nothing better to do other than critique other people. Who cares about this

Who cares? How about the people who have spent a portion of their lives serving our country. I served in the military for 20 years. If it's no big deal, should I be allowed to claim to have graduated Harvard Law to better my chances for a raise or higher paying job? It's sad that our society today is so accepting of liars. These people are pathetic and deserve their 15 minutes of shame.

Here's another example of a vet that exaggerated his service.

Funny, lots of politicians in this group

aFicIoNadoS gave a good example... Chris Kyle, how about the numerous books written about the Bin Laden mission, all distorting facts to make a dollar. There is also investigations being done as to why the huge increase in disability claims, early results are people are exaggerating their issues to get full disability benefits. Unlike civilians, these have little or no oversight.

I'm not saying he deserves a free pass, but he lied to try and better his business, something he is working for .... Not to get a free ride.

Give me some examples Heels. This scumbag said he was wounded in Afghanistan by an IED while serving heroically in a EOD unit. When asked for his dd-214 he said he could not find it. enough said.

Like I said. Vets have done far worse for money. Don't be a hypocrite.

When the scumbag first opened his store, his web site stated it was a Veteran Owned business and after the article came out, it was removed Good job Adam Orr..

People buy papers?

I think if you read it a bit closer, you'll see he had previously made the clam, but couldn't give details. So that caused the reporter to check him out.

Wow, my business has been buying fresh seafood from him for years and never heard him once talk about his military record. Sounds like the reporter jumped the gun on the article to sell papers. When did reporters just write stuff without doing a check on what they're reporting. I guess it's all about selling papers and not caring about ruining this family life. I'm a child of God and it's for the Lord to Judge but I guess in Ashe country they are all perfect in the eyes of the lord. My family and I will continue our business and personal relationship with this family.

Not that I condone this at all, but we see time and time again that actual veterans distort their service for person gain. Why do we overlook some and condemn others?

I am thankful for those that have served....but if you are an *** hole then your service can't change that.

Getting back on topic, anyone who receives financial gain, while falsely posing as a Veteran, could be charged with fraud. The actual law was watered down by the Supreme Court but this man is still a loser and low life. His business will fail.
