I think the last circular accelerator we have is Fermi at the University of Illinois. Seems like there is a big linear accelerator in California.
It's a shame, but ignorance often trumps science.
I have visited the Large Hadron Collider in Switzerland (Well Switzerland and France) - It is beyond cool if you appreciate science.

NC was never in the running for that. People in the states were all too freaked out thinking it was going to cause a black hole if they discovered antimatter. I think Texas had the only real shot in the US and people around the area started fighting it.

Did some of this technology come from the Super Collider in Europe that NC was in the running for?

Dynomak is not the right word, but it's a spherical containment thing using magnetic containment. The Skunk Works things seems similar by the shape seem different. I'm not a physicist but am fascinated and hope we can reach a financial break even point in addition to a energy output break even.
Amazing the ways human have come up with to boil water.

If this anyone else said this I would be skeptical but since it is the skunk works I wouldn't be surprise if it really happens.
