Exactly Cooper. They don't have to make a huge profit from it, it's there to draw people in. Competition is good.

And Ingles has the ability to cross merchandise and promote. Spend $50 on groceries and get 5 cents off a gallon. Buy $50 gas and get the chicken breast for $1.29 pd. kinda hard for wilco to compete.
The run in store and Station at the car wash will not make it.

I will disagree with you. ingles stores do very well in the gas business. Pops takes mom to the store. Sits in the car. Looks around and decides to fill er up.

The world won't last long enough for Ingles to break even on putting gas pumps in there. Dumbest business decision I'v seen since Obama's clean energy ventures.

just what we need is another gas station, How about a decent place to eat. Maybe something beside "hill-billy fried food" or nasty all you can eat soggy pizza. Bring on some quality to the meal!!!
