This the day and age of mobile electronics by the young and old and our mouth breathers and below are still living in 1970. Priceless.

Basking, this is a great point. I met with a couple of the Christmas Tree Growers a few years ago. I showed them why they were not coming up on the first page on the search engines. They opted to go elsewhere for their website work.
The onsite SEO is not well done and the site is not mobile responsive. Approximately 60% of visitors come in on tablets and smart phones. So, if the site is not mobile responsive, most website visitors will go elsewhere.
There are a lot of other reasons but the fault lies with the businesses themselves, not so much with other entities.
Overall, this is a major problem with Ashe Co businesses... Most business websites in Ashe Co are not optimized. Ashe Co businesses could do a lot better and earn more income by simply fixing/updating their websites.

Number one Christmas tree producer on the planet ... barely an afterthought by those in power within the county. Why the fornication did I move here again?

Ever wonder what comes up when you google where to cut a Christmas tree?
Well, it seems that for anyone in NC or the surrounding area, this gets the top hit

Thank your commissioners and your chamber of commerce for making Ashe County show up a very distant 2nd at best. Worst case depending on which browser I tried, Ashe was 10th. Boone/watauga always came up first.
Good job mouth breathers.
