Valle Country Fair

Join us Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Valle Country Fair in the most picturesque valley of the High Country during the Peak of Leaf Season. VCF is an authentic harvest-season community celebration revolving around quality hand-made crafts with more than 160 juried exhibitors displaying their art, plus home-cooked food and mountain music. Enjoy live entertainment, children's area offering sample pony rides, face-painting and alpaca petting, plus a variety of foods - BBQ, chili and cornbread, beans and rice, sweet potatoes, Brunswick stew, fresh-pressed apple cider, baked goods, home made jams and jellies and apple butter made on site. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free and ample parking including handicap parking is available adjacent to the fairgrounds for $10 per car. Parking begins as early as 7 a.m. Please no pets. The Valle Country Fair is sponsored by the Church of the Holy Cross in cooperation with the Valle Crucis Conference Center. All net proceeds provide grants to local non-profit organizations, and relief to local families with emergency needs. Grant recipients this year are: Children's Council of Watauga County, Community Care Clinic, High Country Community Health, Mountain Alliance, OASIS, Parent to Parent Family Support Network, Reaching Avery Ministries, Spirit Ride, WAMY/AveryYO, Watauga County Schools Extended Learning Centers, Western Youth Network.
