Its 40 dose or 4 viles that went out the door to family and friends. They are told by the state they better not waste a dose. They may have at most 5 or 6 doses left at the end of the day from no shows.

aFicIoNadoS (view profile) | Posted 10:21 pm, 02/12/2021 | From what I understand, this is not uncommon. The health departments plan for appointments and thaw out the needed doses. But a lot of people aren't showing up for the appointments they make. Then they are finding anyone they can to give the doses to so they don't go bad.
|
That is what my wife and her co workers were told. It seems if you call the health dept after 2 or 3 pm you can find out if anyone failed to show up and get a shot so its not wasted

We need to make wbtv aware of this. There is only one reason she would do this and It aint because she may get a free bottle of wine. Does she have family working or owning AEV?

Jennifer is as guilty as the rest! She had scheduled AEV to have their shots in 2 weeks (jumping line) and that would've been a lot more than 40. There were more than 40 vaccines stolen in Ashe, Alleghany and Watauga. It's about time they got caught stuffing grant money, etc in their pockets. This time they got their hands caught in the cookie jar!

After looking at the numbers on the other thread that wondering posted I now question my previous opinion,. It said that on the 12th the county only got 200 first doses and 100 second doses. I dont think they would have taken 40 second doses out the door but for god sake if they only got a couple hundred doses the week they took the 40 doses you would have to miss them. Then I asked myself what if they just got a vile a week for 2 viles a week.

Correct all doses are reported to the state. The only way Apphealth was caught was people talking and bragging about getting their first dose and a complaint was made by someone.

To give them an appointment for the second, means the first dose had to be in the system.

Fins they would have been given an appointment for the second dose and this would not alert anyone to look into the 40 doses.

I've not read the story so maybe I'm missing something, but for every first dose, there is an assigned follow up dose. They have to keep track of who got the first dose and when so they can give the follow up. So how does that work if someone just took vaccines?

Jennifer knows exactly those that took the vaccine out of the office against policy. Remember on the news the paramedic that took three doses home and was barbecued by the media? So Jennifer was it you that took the vaccines out of the office? And irregardless your office allowed 40 people to jump the line and given that your office lied when first asked about this so your credibility now comes into question.

Tabs, teachers have no right to complain now. Any case in teachers have been traced to outside of school, or from teacher to teacher. There have been no cases of transmission from students to staff.

Teachers do not need to be bumped up on priority. It's infuriating that they have thrown such a fit over this. All the science shows they are not at risk. There's are much more at risk than they are.

I know a county that against the guidelines offered teachers the vaccine in a private clinic just for the teachers and only 39% took it. This took place 3 weeks ago.

If the teachers are offered the vaccine and refuse ......unless they have a medical reason...... then they will have no right to complain about schools being completely open.

Yes those persons that got the 40 doses jumped line because there are more then 40 that have signed up both online and on the phone and were skipped over because of these people who jumped the line. Each Moderna vile contains 10 doses so there was a vile with 3 doses left in it and a full vile This is the dam reason you go by appointments and the people that are in line and signed up. So Apphealth get your act together.
Watauga is no different as I have heard of people that jumped the line there also and were not qualified.
Mark the old dogs words when I tell you that only 40% or less teachers will take the vaccine. Mark it on the crap house wall.

I totally agree with that Tabs. That is where the real problem is and needs to be addressed!

Does seem like they better be giving this some thought, glad I don't have to make the decision.
One thing I really found to be unfair was the canceling of promised doses to small communities reassigned to Charlotte for the mass vaccine clinics.

Who is to say who signed up before who though? I signed up when it was made public we could. So if my group gets called before all the others are finished do I give up my appointment? No because my group is up! So this being accused of jumping line signed up and they are accused because they aren't in the age group. It isn't about age if the person is in the group. People aren't using common sense.

The only way I would consider them jumping line is if they are given priority over someone who has been waiting for weeks after they signed up.
It won't be long before anyone who wants one will be able to get it......test were in short supply to begin with too.
