Ashe county K9

Supposedly Mickey has turned in receipts for his expenses of taking care of the dog. I expect he has padded them greatly trying to get his numbers up more than the cost the county is demanding. I hope they review his data closely. I wouldnt trust him over any money.

I would have thought that a service weapon or badge would be different than say selling a car or office equipment or k9s

They can do a private sale like they do a gun or a badge of a retired barney.

I hope they all dont think we are going to forget about it.

Here's another question how can the sheriff or the county offered to sell the dog to Mickey without listing it for sale to everyone like other property.

Is there any more news on the dog did the county get the money or the dog yet.

Oh I don't think he was qualified either......

JR I['d question whether we had a qualified K9 handler previously.

I went through Yadkin county today and I'd swear I saw Micky holding a sign on a corner begging for dog money.

Well its time to either drop a turd or get off the pot in regards to the hound.

Do we have a qualified K9 handler on staff anymore? How long will it take for us to get one?

Those questions might be what's holding things up. The Commissioners left it up to Hartley, but then again they've not appropriated more money for K9 training etc. If they don't have anyone qualified on staff, then maybe they should sell it to Mickey. 'Though I believe the amount should be far more than $1.

The dog issue with Mickey has gone silent. Just what is going on with the county owned hound dog? Mickey still holding it for ransom?

I’ve forwarded Axe’s posts to the sheriff, chief deputy, the manager, and the commissioners asking if it’s ok for a county employee to be posting on work time, probably from work computers, and bad mouthing their boss.

Ax tell us what changes you see that need to be made.

We have all seen the texts that prove the corruption of Rose and his bunch. We have your word about the current situation at the SO. You have yet to prove any of your claims.

Yea it's hard to believe anyone who works for ACSO now could have an opinion or a voice.
I guess since Buford is gone we all are supposed to be thankful and submissively quiet.
I guess since Hartley is in office he doesn't want anyone speaking up and telling the truth. It may tarnish his reputation.
The fact is you people just don't want the truth. I didn't support Buchanan and I dont support the way things are being run now.
Hypocrisy at its best.

After getting caught in so many lies, I think no one believes anything posted by GoAxed, New2018, Proud, or Sharpie. Shucks, it may be one liar with many names. I can not think there would be many lunatics out there that think corruption and dirty dealing are awesome and should be supported at the expense of the tax paying citizens in Ashe County.

You did notice that Ax claims to work there now?

Posted 5:58 pm, 03/13/2018

I find it very hard to believe anyone who works at the ACSO would be DUMB enough to say the things GoAxed says about the current administration. Plus so much of what she says is very inaccurate......more likely just trying to stir the pot.

I understand cross training is common. But from all the stuff Ive read and watched, cross training for drugs and explosives is not common or considered a good idea. Dogs trained for hunting drugs are trained to be more aggressive in their search. Explosive dogs are trained to move cautiously so to not set off a bomb. You cant train a dog to change up how they search on command.

Ive never heard of a dog being cross trained for drugs and explosives. Drug dogs search with an aggressive style and would most likely get themselves blown up searching a bomb.

If you were to go on the internet. and read up on training police K-9 dogs, you would find that cross training is very common. Customs and Border Protection dogs are trained to find foodstuff, explosives, and drugs. For food, they stand with their nose on the bag or box. For explosives they sit, and for drugs they generally give an excited response. Their dogs at airports, train stations and piers for large boats however, will not chase down or track a suspect.
