I would not want to know your identity or your corporation's. You spend way too much time on goashe and post too much. i am willing to bet you don't work for a corporation based on the times that you post. Most companies do not allow you to be on website during business hours.

You are right the the test scores do not matter. The only one that can have any effect on your child is 3rd grade reading EOG. After that you can actually opt your child out by writing a letter of intent that you do not want you child taking the test. They are given a 1 as their score, but they still pass to the next grade. The state requires these tests not the superintendent. People just want to whine is all. They are not getting their way so let's play guess the poster's identity and make accusations.

I agree with Fins. Homeschooling has nothing to do with Superintendents and is a family decision usually based on traveling and not wanting to get up at 6:00.

Ashe does not have great students. Ashe has horrible students. Way too many have life goals of graduating and getting a job at Walmart. I blame their ignorant parents get that don't tell them they can be more than a cart boy

It is the teachers and students not a superintendent is the point. Any leader would have to be somewhere longer than 5 years to have any data but the data is the same. State it all - Mamasboy - the worst scores I have seen is the first year after her reign, which I tried to excuse her from earlier. Since you have all the data, let's see what you think it is. We have great teachers and great students. PY just needs personal gain and it is not on test scores. Everyone is sick of your posts about that. I am glad that we have teachers that do not care only about being recognized for test scores. Our teachers care about kids, not where we rank to make help their poor self-esteem.

Who is superintendent has nothing to do with why most homeschoolers took their kids out of public school. Most did so because they have a problem with public school teaching that the world is round.

Funny the corporation I work for requires you to take vacation days and no they do not count against you. So come again .

Just for the record and so glad you are a constant goshe girl and not a teacher, but if you are absent because of a sick day, you don't get perfect attendance. If a child misses school due to a vacation, they don't a perfect attendance. So keep hiking and hopefully not working. You scare me that you don't understand perfect attendance.

Jennifer left the year that Holden left and when PY took over. I know her and know why she left. Sorry. Go back to hiking and know if you are absent, then no perfect attendance. You don't work based on your interest in this site. So, you should look up what perfect attendance means. If you miss work or school, they don't give you extra days for perfect attendance. Let's face it, everyone does get on this site. It is all anyone wanted to talk about today. Everyone says they do not post, but they read and that is what upsets Lurker Yates family. It is a slap in the face of former leaders of this county that Yates is constantly putting down the past 4 superintendents and how she is doing so much better than they ever did. She even spoke this morning on WKSK on how she wants to get better and better. School is not about test scores. It is about kids and students. Has anyone looked at the number of students who are homeschooled and have moved to Watauga in the last 3 years? Heels09, get that data, oh, I mean Lurker3, you always know the confidential data about board members and personnel matters. Superintendents don't credit for test scores, yet PY does and so does her family.

I'm sorry mamasboy, but if you do your research, you will find that test scores take 3-5 years to give any one credit. So since we have had a new super every 3-4 years, we can't give your mama the credit for any scores.

Jennifer Williams, Triplett ( teacher of the year) , Principal Prince, Kevin Anderson, Kevin Jones, and Principal Shepherd, and let me go on and on - all left and will tell you it was because of Yates. Principal Prince was moved and took an excellent job and they are so happy that Ashe made a huge mistake. Ashe has always been top 20 and if mamasboy wants to throw off on on Holden and Reeves and Johnson as she does often- like his mama does- then go ahead. I can tell you that Yates was second in command and back then and only worried about one thing. They had respect and didn't loose two board members because the board lied and told everyone that she was interim. She spends most of her time going to conference and on the roads going to learn how to be a Superintendent. Watauga is so happy to have Prince and thinks Ashe is crazy. Mamasboy, they left under your mamas reign.

Also, if you want to contribute the good test scores solely to the teachers and students and not any to leadership, then why did they fall every year that Holden was the super? Same teachers, same students. When there is no leadership or direction, guess what happens?? Well we have seen the difference. Look back, the majority of teachers left during the Holden years, both for better salaries and to work where the super was actually working for the school system to better it instead of running the roads.

Once again salaries are more in Watagua and Wilkes. You forgot a lot of Ashe teachers went there way before PY took office. This is getting old. Move on already! Vacation does not count against attendance. Sick days count against attendance.

Mamsboy or lurker or hees09 sure seems to know confidential information. Did you speak of professionalism? How do you know about the employee that was written up? How do you know about fighting a board member? Do tell more. We thought that the board loved her. Interesting. Do tell. Do tell.

Mamasboy is at it again! Scary. Be careful out there if he loose his temper again. He always comes to her rescue and always knows so much about everything. The teachers are the reason that Ashe has good test scores, not PY. We have only lost about 10 teachers to Watauga during her years and some principals thanks to her leadership. The moral is at an all time low, just ask any teacher. Teachers have no problem with her taking vacations, it is fact that she gets perfect attendance according to this thread. Mamasboy - teachers work late too but they are salaried and she plays by different rules.

Get over it already! Newsflash her daughter isn't in the Ashe School system any longer. The employees at the central office can take vacations at different times. That has been covered numerous times.
