Cares Act Grant

Nice digging Dog, The two articles appear to describe two different methods that the funds were distributed, one through the State and one through the County. I'd guess technically that all the funds came through the State. Based on the fund raising that is done by the Fire Clubs most would seem to qualify as a tax exempt organization. As far as assistance for the EMS service I'd imagine that they were eligible for PPP loans round 1 and 2 if they actually were able to demonstrate a need for the funding.

It might. I think the problem right now is the EM director has managed to keep the money somewhat hidden and people haven't looked for it yet. So getting her to release the information may take some prying to force her to put the information together.

Remember chick that the EMS is privately owned. I doubt he was eligible for any of the money. The fire club chiefs had better start asking some questions in a public forum such as emails to the manager or as Only said attending a commissioner meeting and getting on the agenda.

Fins, would a carefully worded FOIA extract the information from the County, or even a direct question at a Commissioners meeting?

I heard the same thing! Her and Stumb is keeping all of this quiet! If our county only knew what they get away with in that courthouse, there would be some mad people!

Chicky, from what I'm hearing, Patty is keeping the numbers as secret as possible and not letting people know how much has been spent. I also hear she's shopping for ambulances.

I heard they spent a lot of it on building cots for a COVID outbreak in the county and used half of it to pay the county employees to build them while on the job. That my friends is what our tax dollars are going to! Patty put employees from inspection to working day and day out. They were never used! I bet our county EMS departments didn't see a dime if it was left up to Adam Stumb and Patty Gambill! Time to vote some people out!

Most don't know this, but the Cares Act included money for local governments emergency management departments. How come the county EM department hasn't disclosed how much they received and what has been done with it? Have the hose jockey frat houses received any of this money?
