Tax Administrator
Ashe County is seeking additional
applications to fill a vacancy in the Tax
Administration
Department
as
Tax Administrator
. Successful applicant will
be responsible for performing administrative and supervisory work
in
planning, organizing and directing an effective and comprehensive tax listing,
appraisal, assessment, mapping and collection program for Ashe County
.
Employee also supervises the staff of the contracted NC License Plate
Agency
. Applicant will
supervise the listing and appraising of property for
taxation and collection of property taxes as the combined functions of the
statutory positions of the County assessor and Tax Collector. Employee is
responsible for
researchi
ng and developing new and revised procedures and
forms to meet the changing needs and to improve departmental efficiency.

and must exercise
considerable tact
in completing assigned tasks. Starting salary grade
begins
at :
$56,
502.00
