Charges upgraded to murder in this case. Apparently the victim was brought to Ashe where some of the beatings took place.

I read on a couple of sites that law enforcement has a video of the assault on the kidnapped victim. Maybe that's how they keep identifying more suspects.

There have been a total of 6 arrests. Most of those are from Watauga area. At this time the guy and his wife have a set bail. I’m not sure if anybody has gotten them out. They were only married in January according to a social media site. The victim still hasn’t been found.

There have been 4 arrests so far by the Watagua Sheriff’s Office. The victim still hasn’t been found.

There was another article (I don’t remember what site it was on) that said they also arrested a woman too. That road where both of these guys are listed as residing is the RTP of meth labs. The Watauga Barneys have gotten to where they drop the s on the road name when discussing the area. So it would seem that most likely the missing guy wasn’t exactly an Eagle Scout if he was associated with these people.

Has anyone heard any more about this case? I can't see how this guy could still be alive if he was left assaulted and exposed to the elements for this long. This is really a strange case.....only $700 ransom?

reports Burke County officials said Carlton Lamaar Edmondson of Valdese was reported missing by his family January 19th and his family said they had received phone calls from an unknown person saying their son had been kidnapped and demanding money for his return.
A joint investigation by the Burke Sheriff’s Office and the SBI led to Boone and then Johnson County, Tennessee where they arrested Robert Leroy Littleton III, who was charged with first-degree felony kidnapping.
