And foremost, dont tell a person what they can do on their land.

The secret to fitting in when you move to a location new to you is to embrace what your new location has, don't try to make your new location the same as where you came from.

Get out and become involved in the institutions and traditions that make your new home special.

If you are from the city and moved to the country, don't complain about the sounds and smells farm animals make, don't complain about how natives and other long term residents make their living and spend their money. Ask equations and learn why they live the way they do.

Welcome jeff but just remember if you've moved here from anywhere else, you'll be treated with scorn and contempt. You're never gonna be an insider on this forum.
****, I grew up here and just because I can construct a grammatically correct sentence without spelling errors, I am regarded with great suspicion and disbelief.

Oh and if you've ever held a decent job or traveled outside of the "high country", better not mention that either. It's like the people who think the moon landing was fake or that the earth is flat in here.

Using big words incorrectly is the opposite of being grammatically correct.

I moved here from somewhere else. I've traveled.

Guess what, Homie...I am from a little town out west called L.A. and I turned down an opportunity to be part of the catering team again for this years' Academy Awards parties...even though I have done it before, I would NEVER try to make someone think I was ever anything more than a servant. Magnificent homes? Yeah, I've been in a few...So what

What I am NOT, is some small town pretentious, condescending trick

She just seems like a lonely person who likes to chat.

Only Sherlock Finns would find that nefarious.

Homie, you can't even afford for me to tell you about the dreams I have. Your claims though just don't fit together properly. You try too hard to get people to believe you.

Aww, ok then - my "wild claims"?

Dream bigger fins! Good luck to you!

Yeah, actually, you struggle with forming grammatically correct sentences. Don't get too carried away with your wild claims.
