Pre- French Revolution there was vast inequality between the haves and have nots - the peasants and the upper class wealthy. The inequities were so broad that the underlings eventually were squeezed so hard that they stormed the castle and overthrew the monarchy & their wealthy courtiers. Remember this was the era of "Let them eat cake " a falsely attributed but interesting quote for the times, don't you think? The peasants rebelled and then off with Marie Antoinette's head! Plus a whole bunch of stuff like robbing the treasures of Versailles.

Pre-revolution, the economic situation in France - down to the actual statistics is very close to our own economic situation in America right now though.

I don't see poor Americans violently overthrowing our government but something has to give with income inequality.

Stick with the trump "brand" and see where it gets all of us. I predict more income inequality and that's not good. We are approaching something along the lines of pre-French revolution era inequities in the current day - and (hopefully) we know where that ended up.

I think his base is made up of angry poor white men and the women who mate with them plus the few 1%ers who benefit substantially from his tax cuts and other policies. Racism and sexism seem to be major factors in his popularity as well.
