I know y'all are being funny but that has actually been proposed already. Buford has already tried to move them (animal control) under his authority. I don't know what stoped it other than Joe saying no.

The big counties have the dog catchers under the sheriff. They carry guns and badges and have the power of arrest. Now if bufurt had control of them he would fire them all the first week.

Bufurt wants to take over the hospital police and the fire departments. Why wouldn't he want to ring animal control under his umbrella too? The dog catcher carries a badge too and can enforce law. Seems Terry would be threatened to let that department run on its own. Maybe he can threaten another commissioner and convince them to put him over animal control

Not sure why AC won't do anything, dogs need food and water daily not once a week. Not sure if sheriff can/will do anything so you would need to contact county manager then commissioners if you feel a county dept is not doing their job.

Where does one go? Trevor Nunn has abandoned his 4 dogs on Lawless Lane. One has been in the garage. They are seen 1 x a week to feed. Joe Testerman will not help. Where does a person go?
