Brown stain I can assure you I voted a straight republican ticket. First time ever mind you, however if God himself was on the ballot as a democrat I would vote against him. The democratic party of today wants to put my freedom, and the safety of this country at stake and I wont stand for that.

I haven’t heard anything yet. Moch I could live with. Bufurt though I think would make Howell a one termer

It’s no contradiction. As I said, there can be small affects. But also, what you keep ignoring, one way or the other, these things will work out, because life and business must go on. Contrary to your interpretation, the sky isn’t falling and Rome isn’t burning. People like yourself are freaking out over Trump’s policies, but in the end, China wants our business. The market fixes itself.

Any truth to Howell hiring Mochen and Buchanan? That’s all people were talking about at the store.

So then a president or elected official can have a direct and significant impact on the economy? Because now you're just contradicting yourself again from a statement just a few posts ago. Which kinda seems to be your norm, so I suppose it makes sense.

Browneye, get a pen and some paper and start taking notes, because school is in session.

Around 2007 in the US we hit a record high for the amount of products we manufactured domestically. Then the recession hit and obviously those numbers dropped off. However, in 2017, we reached almost the same numbers again. And this year it’s expected to be higher. We still manufacturer more now than we ever have in history. We are the second biggest manufacturer in the world. Obviously China is first. We also have a sub 4percent unemployment. The only reason manufacturing jobs would be laid off is because automation is more efficient and cheaper than labor. Now understand that in my field the tariffs on China are affecting almost every item we touch. We are seeing 25 percent hikes across the board. But, the Chinese have been cheating in the market for decades by falsely valuing their currency to get an advantage. We should have put tariffs in place a long time ago to force them to let the market set their currency value. And if you’d paid attention to recent news, you’d know that these tariffs have forced the Chinese to come to the table to start talking about more fair trade relations. Because as much as 25 percent price increases hurts us, they are feeling the problem even more. So, so far it looks like the tactic may be working.

Continue with that line of thought as you see a significant rise in consumer goods, and more layoffs in our already emaciated manufacturing corp based on the actions of our current president and his trade war with China prior to the temporary halt of hostilities. But again, those are all small matters. By all means, continue to vote on whether or not a politician supports banning bump stocks or the semantics of what an assault rifle actually is. Those are the issues that really matter, right?

Browneye, if you had a clue about economics, you would comprehend that politics has very little to do with the economy. Obama admitted in an interview that the president can move the needle very little. I’d say I’m much more informed than you wish you could be.

Like fins, gun control is a hot button issue for me. The NRA graded DD Adams with an "F". That's all I needed to know. BTW, the NRA grades a candidate solely on their stance on second amendment issues. The are republicans with low scores, and democrats with higher scores.

Cool. You're not very smart, poorly informed, easily influenced by hot button issues like gun control that pale in comparison to the things that actually matter in the country, and think that the economy and taxes are "small stuff" that politicians exert very little control over, and vote based off of party lines. Like I said, you're a walking, posting exemplar of everything that is wrong in our country today. Congratulations.

Broweye, lots of politicians try to play down their gun control support by saying they are gun owners. But then they try to push through restrictions on firearms they don’t think people need, just because they don’t have a use for them theirselves. DD was one of those politicians. As for my reasoning in voting, I realized something a long time ago. The small stuff will always work out. Day to day stuff like taxes and the economy are what they are. They go up and down and some things affect them, but in the end, they all work out about the same. So, I find making decisions for national elections with big issues, even sometimes single issues, to be more effective. And this election, with the current attitude floating around the gun control advocates, I found that issue to be number one.

Neither should you, if you vote solely on the issue of gun control. Or are so uninformed that you don't take into account DD Adams stated position on the 2nd Amendment, or the fact that she is a gun owner herself. But you are, like so many others of both affiliations, a sad little man who votes solely on party affiliation rather than being a member on an informed populace. And you represent everything that is wrong with our country today.

Politics is often having to vote for the lesser of the evil instead of someone you actually like. In both of those cases, I had to pick the individual that fit the best to my own concerns. There was not an ideal choice available. If you don’t understand that, you really shouldn’t be allowed to vote

brownfrown

Posted 9:43 am, 12/03/2018

Nah, because you see I voted for candidates from both parties. Unlike you, who endorsed solely Republican candidates, and admitted voting for candidates that you didn't like solely because they were Republican, and then hate the lack of self awareness and intellect to claim to vote uninfluenced by party lines.

aFicIoNadoS

Posted 9:33 am, 12/03/2018

No stupid, my endorsement was on the individuals, based on that they will vote against any gun control legislation. I apologize if you are so blinded by party that you can’t comprehend that

Brownfrown

Posted 9:22 am, 12/03/2018

Ok. So you voted based on party affiliation. And you're a liar. Cool

aFicIoNadoS

Posted 9:09 am, 12/03/2018

No, the words are because they won’t vote with democrats on gun control.

brownfrown

Posted 8:47 am, 12/03/2018

Backtrack all you want. The words are what they are. You directly stated your voting for Foxx and Ballard because they're not Democrats, despite your obvious disdain for them personally and individually. But, then again, why would anyone be surprised that you're disingenuous?

aFicIoNadoS

Posted 8:42 am, 12/03/2018

You must have a problem with reading comprehension. The endorsements were based on the individuals. fighting gun control is an important issue though, and will likely be brought up by the left party as a whole. In those two races, those were the individuals that showed the most likelihood to fight gun control. It was about the individuals and how they would vote

brownfrown

Posted 8:33 am, 12/03/2018

These are literally your first two endorsements.

US House of Representatives District 05

Virginia Foxx

This endorsement is with a heavy heart and a sour stomach. I begrudgingly am making this one based on the given choices. With all likelihood that a democrat controlled house will try to introduce gun control legislation, there is no way I can punch the chad for an urban black female liberal. In other years I would have done so just as a protest to Ginny. But, the left is just too vindictive this year to protest.

NC State Senate District 45

Deanna Ballard

Ugh… I think I’m going to be sick. As much as I have an issue with Franklin Graham hand picking politicians, this one is much like the one for Ginny. I trust the other option even less.

Cool, so you're either a liar, or you don't know what words mean.
