I think Ashe will transition as the middle school has. I do hope those NFL players are saving most of their earnings because I think contracts will be far less generous in future years. For almost two decades the salary cap has expanded every year, wait til that contracts......going to be a lot of pain.

The "working brain" is endangered in Ashe County. Most kids and adults are mentally disabled, so the slightest blow to the head of a child could turn it into an invalid. Probably for the best.

Any truth to the Middle School not fielding a football team this year? Heard a rumor some parents want to coach a team not affiliated with school so their not so talented boys have a chance to play "daddy ball".
What's next? No sports at Middle School? Who do they play? Other middle schools in the area or is it like a travel team?
