Negotiations With Yearick

Down in Flames

Posted 8:23 am, 08/11/2018

The only thing Yearick worked hard was his jaws. And it would be easy to get rid of him if Gary Roark, Jeff Rose and Brien Richardson (Bruno) hadn't extended his contract. As someone pointed out earlier, many have forgotten Bruno's role in this mess.

When the citizens of Ashe return McNeil and Sands to the BOC maybe you will see that your anger has been misplaced.

The citizens of ASHE don’t really expect truth from this BUNCH of liers.

Ashes, I'm sure Sam , his family, and the Sexton's all think Yearick was the hardest working county manager we ever had......everyone else, not so much.

One of those crooks still attends BOC meetings. Unfortunately, she is not up for election until 2020.

The board did not have to sign a contract. Yearick knew when the board changed his carcass was gone.

Pappy, when the contract was approved Yearick had control of a majority of commissioners and got them to approve the contract. It’s not that the BOC wasn’t smart enough. It was the majority at the time was crooked.

I know Kilby did not write it. He was asked for his opinion. The BOC did not like his opinion, so they submitted the contract to The School of Government. The question they submitted with the contract was, "is this contract legal?" The answer was yes.

Fairplay do you really think anyone on that board came up with a contract for Yearick? I agree that likely Yearick wrote it and Kilby just approved or suggested changes to the board.

Brother Yearick doesn't seem to be too popular around these parts and he's apparently costing the county mega dollars. Darn shame the BOC folks weren't very bright where contracts were concerned. Big problem, more money, lawsuits forever. I offer a quote from President Trump-- "maybe some of our 2nd Amendment folks could take care of it. I don't know."

Just sayin...

Wrong. The BOC or Yearick wrote the contract, and asked for an opinion on it.

They didnt write the contract stupid. The first post explains who had it written. The county attorney wrote it.

Your 3 village idiots put the county in a bind when they got rid of the most hard working county manager we have ever had. They were too stupid to know when his contract ended. Or maybe just too senile? They’ll have to abide by the legal contract and not the fake bull they always use.

According to articles in the APT and AsheCountyLine, county officials have met with Yearick to try and come up with a resolution that would avoid litigation. Has anyone heard how that went? I can't see giving him 250k to buy out his contract. Also everyone needs to remember to thank former commissioner B. Richardson for his part in this mess, after all he provided Roark and Rose with the third vote they needed.Seems old Bruno has been largely overlooked for putting the county in such a bind.
