billy, What do you have against Mochen and him running Blue Ridge Theater & Event Center, honestly at least he's trying to bring stuff to the county. Honestly if he'd done this first for about 10 years people might of elected him Sheriff....don't have a problem with his running of the Theater, I support the effort.

I see nothing wrong with Yates running the school system. I've not been convinced of any real wrongdoing. Every Superintendent has made folks mad while in the job including Donnie Johnson, who I think was a pretty good superintendent.

We've even managed to get the commissioners to meet one meeting in mornings and one in evenings. I hope that means more people attend. I think at least on the corruption this site has had a positive impact on removing much of it.

As for school board elections in off years, we should be paying more attention I agree. Off year elections are hardly covered by media who just skip to the next federal election. As such getting information to make informative decisions is difficult.

It’s a simple answer Scooby. Because so far no one has presented us with a problem with the school system that could be fixed by replacing her. The trains are running right on time and the passengers seem to be getting where they are supposed to.

The school board may be a different story. But we are reviewing that right now for the upcoming election.

If you want to take credit, why just explain why Ashe has the only Superintendent who has never been a teacher, assistant, principal, assistant principal, director, etc? How is that okay FINs?

She is almost 70 yearsold and our county sends her to training after training and pays and pays county money for her to be a new Superintendent. Have you ever seen anything from all these trainings that the paper wants to write about? Have you ever seen anything from her in the public news from Superintendent Yates? What a waste of money? Schools do not need her. She doesn't care about anybody but her children. You can say what you want. Teachers are unhappy, administrators are unhappy, and students and parents are unhappy.
