You are really out of touch. It has nothing to do with our board or administration. It has a great deal to to do with our no work ethic children and parents thinking they are entitled to things their children have not earned. Grow up ....tanstaafl....there ain't no such thing as a free lunch.

I am new to this thread, but wanted to add my two sense....PY is not an educator, our board members are out dated, principals and teachers are not allowed to use personal devices such as laptops, ipads or smart phones in meetings!! How is this 21st Century teaching and learning? What about leadership modeling how to effectively use technology, etc. Ashe used to be one of the best systems in the state, high performing schools across the district. We are no longer that system and we will never be again as long as this board and this superintendent stay in place.

Also, you can always check Ashe County Schools website. It is always posted there.

I missed a hot date with my favorite concubine because of the delay.

And two calls this morning.

What is wrong with the phone call? I get the call no matter where I am at and don't have to be sitting in front of a TV. Plus, the call went out last night.

Why is it that every school district in the surrounding 5 counties can get WBTV the information needed to disclose school delays except Ashe?

Get your lazy *** out of bed and give the students parents of the county that pays your salary the time needed to get to school without worrying what time it will start!

2 hour delays calls for students in the northern end of the county sometimes aren't enough, if it's on WBTV at 5:00am no worries!

I think what has her under ware all bunched up if the fact that you only need a GED or high school diploma to teach kids. It's not magic, it's not hard - most kids want to learn.

You are very wrong. I have worked jobs with 3 weeks worth of vacation days. Those days used were not counted as days being absent. Being out for sickness were counted against you. So keep guessing and whining.

Hiking. Perfect attendance means you don’t miss a day. Apparently you a stay at home Mom and never has worked. You can’t say you work everyday when you don’t. The spoiled brat isn’t the teachers. You are clueless and your intelligence is not impressive.

I think that is the problem here Hiking, We have a spoiled teacher that just got out of college and thinks that they are being treated unfair. Instead of working their way up they want to tear down those that have already worked their way up the ladder.

If she is using vacation days she would have perfect attendance. That’s how most jobs work. Those days don’t count against you.

While you want to do a better job as Superintendent, plan on getting out by 3 am every morning this winter to check the roads.

Which one of you want the job of superintendent? If you think you can do a better job go to the School Board and complain and turn in your resume.

I believe that you can not compare "teachers" to "administrators". Teachers have 28 students they are responsible for. Mrs. Yates has all the kids, all the whinning teachers, the cooks, bus drivers, maintaince men, secretaries, principal, coaches, and parents to account to. And the school board.

She deserves more pay and more vacation. Get over it. You are not superintendent material and never will be.
