The Red Cross does not usually do a very good job in these situations.I know people in the Military that was turned down by the Red Cross in emergency situations.

AR15.com? Is that a gun nut forum? You guys are lunatics. Has the NRA set up shop down there, feeding the victims?

Its not just a gun forum they talk about everything scuba diving, ham radio, sports, pets, math and science just to name a few of the many many topics on that forum. you should look around I am sure you will find something over there that you like if you don't you live under a rock.

I question if the actual story posted is legit, but I know the spirit of the story is very real. Both the Red Cross and Salvation Army worry more about their own existence than the people they help. Years back when Floyd hit NC I went with a group to take a load of supplies down east and spent a week there working. We took a trailer load of supplies to the SA. They sorted through the clothes and picked out the better stuff to put in their store to sell. As for the Red Cross they had an attitude towards any other organization that was there. Personally, from what I've seen the NC Baptist Men group does much better feeding people in disasters.
