Unless something has changed significantly in the pre-hospital provider front AMH, other than being Medical Control for the Rescue Squad and Ashe Medics, does not provide patient transportation. I'd say you saw an Ashe Medic's vehicle responding to an emergency. When the lights and sirens are going the emergency vehicle pretty much rules the road. The AMH police department have mutual aid agreements with the local law enforcement agencies if they were responding to a request for assistance from one of those agencies then that might be the only way that there was an AMH vehicle speeding through town as you have suggested.

Was the vehicle transporting or going to the location of a critical patient? If either situation is the case then the fault lies more with those who failed to get out of the way of the emergency vehicle. However, it is not usual for AMH to use their own vehicles for transporting patients that duty is normally taken care of by the local ambulance service, so let's get the facts straight before making uninformed conclusions.

OP, please do us all a favor: Contact dispatch, Ashe Medics and AMH. Give them all your personal information and advise them that in the event you or any member of your family enter cardiac arrest, start bleeding out or suffer any grave injury requiring immediate assistance, you wish for EMS to go with the slow flow of traffic and operate as if it's just a run of the mill SUV that serves no purpose.

I would just like to ask, were there any other citizens in West Jefferson eating Friday midday when a emergency vehicle come flying through West Jefferson town we were sitting outside eating in downtown. The vehicle did not slow down for nothing that was the most ridiculous driving I have ever seen. The vehicle was a SUV with Ashe Memorial name all down the side. I encourage anyone else that seen this to call and complain . I understand when emergency happens but you don't need to kill everyone else trying to get there, if something would have happened to your vehicle or someone walked across the road you could have killed everyone of us and my family.To the one that was driving you need to grow up.
