After what happened in the Wilkes Co. Washington Trip I can't say I blame a parent for going and getting their own child.

You know, when this thread first started, I hoped it might be something at least interesting. Like Hendrix had snuck out to the hotel bar after the kids were in bed. This is about the most nothing story I’ve ever seen posted.

No, it actually sounds like he was being a parent. I wonder if he were not running for office if anything would have been brought up? The handbook says a parent can take a child home after a field trip. So how is this field trip any different?

Sounds like he was trying to be Sheriff before his time.

Parents and teachers believed Hendrix did not get the “memo” that he would not be able to take his child home with him in his personal vehicle. However, there was no such rule. The handbook specificly states that children may ride home with their parents after field trips. They believed he was disrespectful for bringing up policy to the teachers.

My child goes to Westwood. Nothing about being a fan. Just stating there was no rule violation. Parents are allowed to take their children home from field trips.

This is all on Phyllis Yates. She is the one who tried to make up the rules as she went along disregarding the school handbook. Could this be because another candidate's parent works (or worked) for the Board of Education? I find it very disturbing that the Board of Education would wade into a Sheriff's race when they have an obvious conflict of interest. Is the Board of Education purposefully becoming political and trying to hurt Hendrix. Sure looks like they are!!!

Thanks to APP Hiker for posting the school rules about field trips showing that James was allowed to take his child home after the field trip. I personally would like to know who said what about him on the buses when he was following the rules as set out in the student hand book.
It is clear that a few people are just bashing James over nothing in an effort to make him looked bad.

Your moral superiority is in high definition today, Penny. This thread was started yesterday by two new posters. The whole purpose of it seems to have been to make Hendrix look bad. It failed. Who would gain from this? One of his opponents. Which opponent has supporters that tell lies on this site every day? The same opponent that is owned by Nelson and Co. Namely, Mochen. Now, you just keep on calling Jack and Saasy morons. It will not change what is real. Nor will it change the fact that everyone sees through these schemes. The Mochen crowd lost all credibility on this site long ago.

I like how the op accuses James of breaking a rule that wasn't in place at the time. But even if such a rule was in place it wouldn't affect my thoughts about him one knowing some of the stupid and ignorant rules the school board or schools have. No school employee will ever tell me that I can't take my kid home in fact the couple school trips we have been on it was allow to take your child home instead of riding back to school.
Lets not forget that according to hiker624 James only did what was requested by the school which would have been okayed by the principle. 2BME and Dontcare must be worried that James is going to beat their man.

Another stupid reply from Jack and Sassy. You idiots can’t carry on a rational conversation without personal attacks. Just shows what morons you really are.
