Keep in mind too that what I posted was a news article and we all know about "fake" news and turning a story to fit the agenda.

Mom, I heard some teachers and principal whining about this today and they kept saying the word mandatory. They also were complaining about the 5 hours of instruction time because they would have to work until 5:00

They have essentially lost 2 years of learning. The parents would be happy to get them out of the house. Going to have 18 y/o freshman high schoolers.

It is still up to the parents if they send them. More than likely the ones that need summer school this year were the same ones that went in the years past. Some would be much better being held back. This no child left behind is ridiculous!

Yeah I read it but knowing how many students either were lost with online learning and those that couldn't handle online learning they may not have a choice or be held back. Remember that all the large systems have not opened up or are just trying to open. If teachers dont sign up they will be drafted.

Dog, did you read it? Yes, is says six of summer school for those students whose parents want to send them. I don't know many parents that will send their kids to summer school if it isn't required. Summer school here years ago didn't require all teachers to work. The teachers that wanted to could.
