The converse girl that didn’t get to walk during graduation

One formal, solemn graduation ceremony.
One clearly stated dress code, presented in a timely manner to all students and parents, with no-cost accommodations made for those who could not afford to purchase the necessary items.
One spoiled child.
One snowflake, busybody parent.
One individual attempting, in the moment, to resolve what was basically a non-issue. (See spoiled child, snowflake parent reference above.)
One Board of Education, filled with brainless, PC-infected cowards.
One solution in search of a problem.

Bunch of Snowflakes......

1. Useless
2. I think they provided a pretty good description, wear this. I mean it's not a mistake that everyone else was dressed nearly identically.
3. I think it was last time, didn't help. Perhaps maybe they mean not burying it so deep you'd almost never find it.
4. Why? Most Graduates are 18 years old at graduation and therefore adults, if they can't handle something as simple as this how do you expect them to handle life after graduation? Just setting them up for failure in life.
5. What difference would that make if the student and parent who both were informed this past year refuse to attain the proper attire even when they were offered assistance to get it if they could not afford it.
6. Not sure about this, who appointed them beforehand?
7. Eh, not necessary, if you can't follow basic instructions you don't need to be graduating, time to repeat a year or two until you can figure out how to follow basic instructions.
8. In a small area like this nothing is really anonymous......

Nothing more than soundbytes to make you think they are addressing a problem, that only exists because the parent and child refused to follow instructions and this provides no steps that would ensure future compliance.....

I see no issues except with no 1. Sensitivity training? That's a real thing? I thought that was a joke on sitcoms.

I understand why the savages hate us. I swear, if I didn't have to give up ribs and bacon I would seriously consider converting and joining the fight

It's got out of hand because we have a bunch of snowflakes that don't take personal responsibility for their decisions. Then they whine and pout and other stnowflakes cave and give them free stuff, so they keep doing it. Ultimately the free hand outs end. They don't have the necessary skills to make it and then they become a burden on society because the government will force you to give it money to give to them.

Joe the students were told weeks before if they could not afford shoes that were code to let the school know as and they would provide them. This whole mess has gotten out of hand.

Everyone is looking for a angle for a lawsuit. The county included.

Otherwise though, I do agree, who really cares about the shoes?

Joe, the school mouth breathers get a pass on this one because the graduation dress code is explained to students and sent out weeks ahead of time. It’s also made clear that items can be provided if there is a financial issue. So the student in question had plenty of time to address the issue and get approved footwear. The fact that she didn’t bother until the day of graduation and then tried to wear sneakers, that had been very clearly explained as unacceptable, is not the fault of the school or the mouth breathers.

It really should be a life lesson for the student. They are not a child anymore. You don’t get to pout and whine in the real world and get all the rules changed because they don’t suit you. At some point they will have to get a job, and most jobs have some sort fo dress code that must be followed.

She was offered shoes and an opportunity to walk, she refused......I don't see why anyone should be giving her anything.....

I'm pretty sure I heard that the Shoes provide by a school counselor were also rejected by other school personnel . I swear its funny you guys come on here and rightfully ***** about the county mouth breathers but then give the school system mouth breathers a pass.

Did she have the correct cap and grown on yes so what the big deal? This was just one last final attempt for some power hungry school employee to impose his or her will on someone because they could. It is no different then the hose jockey's and cops that everyone is always talking about. I would bet money that not one single person who was there would have cared what kind of shoes she was wearing except for the power hungry school employee.

Since Converse is owned by Nike, maybe they can send Colin Kaepernick down to protest at the next board of education meeting.

I would guess that the mother’s YouTube video found its way to someone at converse and they never bothered to check the whole story. They figured for a couple pairs of shoes and a piece of paper, it would be good publicity.

I doubt that Converse got the whole story from the snowflake's mom.

Well carpetbagger, I suggest you learning the whole story before making such a statement.

Since this teen is living with a family of two mothers it's no wonder she feels like she has to be the man of the house. Sad.

I’m still repulsed by the mother’s teeth. How do you let yourself go like that? She’d better off just taking a hammer to her grill and banging them out, rolling with gums instead. So unbecoming.
