And your buddy Sam flew out of terrorizing county employees, costing the county thousands in lawsuits. He is only a distant memory. Soon he will be paid out and good riddance to Sam Yearick.

There once was an organization called Ashe DSS, who thought they they were better than the rest.
They were so stressed from helping the poor they couldn’t take it no more.
So they colored, they dined, they spaed and they whined.
They had an old woman who cozied up to an old man.
They really thought they they could change the law of the
land.
But thank God Sam came along and disrupted their evil plan.
And now the two corrupt birds can fly back to THE SANDS.

Why would he want to cut his buddies contract? Personally I believe that enough shady crap has been proven to have gone on that the commissioners should have no problem firing him and canceling his contract

lol Timbucktu, good one.

Ashes has referred to Sam's "Kilby contract" many times. Since Kilby wrote the contract and Kilby is the County attorney.....Kilby should be able to find a way out of it.

Your post is quite accurate and funny at the same time. I am betting not many on this site know of what your name represents.

Once there was a man named Sam
Who got the county in a great big jam

He professed to save the county money
And thought his tall tales were funny

The truth is that he put the county in debt
And that he was greatly disliked is a sure bet

And his stories were so old and boring
that they left many who heard them snoring

He said lawsuits were the "cost of doing business"
Which isn't good common sense

He thought he was king of the hill
But everyone knew he was just a pill

Little did he know he would get busted for his sins
When it was reported in the paper by his hero, Ken Lynn

Now he is on leave from his job
And the county, he can no longer rob

Hopefully the commissioners will soon cut him free
And no richer will he be

Rounding it off we gave dss 7,800,000 this year. On a side note the ambulance contract was up to 950,000 this year. Its still a deal to pay Sullivan.

Ashes, please check to see where the money being administered by DSS is coming from. There is a minimal amount supplied directly by the County Tax payers. The vast majority of the program funds come from direct and indirect grants from the Federal and State governments. County DSS departments in rural Counties are basically grant administrators, implementing the terms and conditions of the granting agency.

This is why questions have been raised earlier about what is Ashe DSS doing to be in compliance with the new State mandates.

Yearick should never have been hired in the first place. His bumbling has cost the county substantially in law suits. They need to cut the cord.

So scared of him it took her 3 years to blast him. Then right in front of the camera, in front of her love. I hear she was laughing and having a good time with him before she retired. Didn’t look SCARED at all.

The only thing that needs wiping is your mouth and what little mind you left left.

You only love the crooked, and underhanded Potashe. Hang in there Yearick will need a wiping and he can count on you.

Keep lying. I am actually happy to tell the truth. I am not a bully like this bunch. I ‘m a business man that loves Ashe and this bunch will never shut me up.

I'm surprised Donna didnt. The only reason Farmer I can fathom is they were too afraid of their job and Yearicks retaliation. Yearick should have been gone 3 years ago.

Has the county posted a county manager position yet?

Sounds like they've had a nip or two of Gin as well. Everything I've seen, heard and read indicate that Yearick was a bully who felt threatened by women in positions of authority such as the former and current DSS directors. I'm surprised that none of those who worked for him have filed discrimination suits yet.
