A good source of mine says that after the lawsuits are settled at the jail and sheriffs office that individuals will be contacted about a book and a movie about the bumbling sheriff bufurt.

Ashley, where did you get your journalism degree? Also did you get it before or after your law degree?

I guess you agree with the federal judges trying to block Trump at every turn also?

They have not lost interest. THEY
HAVE JUST PLAIN LOST. For a TV STATION, IT IS VERY CLEAR THEY WERE SHORT ON LEGAL INFO. Nothing but a waste of taxpayers dollars and of course theirs too. They might want to have their investigative reporter go back to journalism 101 class.
THANK GOD WE HAVE HONEST JUDGES AND COURTS who can rule honestly and make property decisions. I have no interest in taking up For these individuals. I just think WBTV showed their stupidity by getting involved in dirty politics here in Ashe.

I dont think WBTV was fighting very hard at this point. Bufurt is gone, the story is over. No reason for them to spend money to fight now

On Dec 4th the WBTV appeal for records from Buchanan/Clayton was dismissed by the NC Appellate Court. Other defendants are still pending. The appellate court said that they had a lack of standing to hear the case citing that WBTV had failed to provide a proper legal argument as to why they were entitled to an appeal.....Kirby is celebrating....corruption still goes unpunished.....
