Hundreds of Thousands were relocated during the Obama Administration from middle eastern countries. I'd probably be more concerned with those than Mexico. They were moved all over the country.
People get comfortable when they don't see the consequences of disease. Then you add in possible costs of vaccination especially for cash strapped families and they make the decision. Add to that the blowback from both the far left and far right and you end up with number of folks not vaccinated.
Actually Mexico's rate of measles vaccination is lower than the United States, however the middle eastern countries like Syria it's virtually non existent. So for 8 years the Obama Administration allowed those from countries with virtually no vaccinations enter the country and then dispersed them throughout the country.
The US rate is between 90-95% vaccination for measles. In a country with over 300 million people that leaves around 15-30 million who are not vaccinated. That's not counting those who possibly had older vaccinations that are not as effective and never had them updated.
Europe's schedule of vaccinations is much slower than the United States, and some prefer the European model thinking it is less harmful to the children.
I'm don't really trust the government and don't believe forced vaccinations is the answer. I do have all my vaccinations up to date though. I believe that the individual should decide. However in deciding they take responsibility for their decisions. I'm not by far a left wing nut.

Ebola is figured currently to have a 50% survival rate. But, most cases are in third world countries with very poor healthcare. In the US there have been 11 cases of Ebola and 9 of those survived. That’s an 81% survival rate.

Of all the outbreaks that have occurred in the last few years, the problem has originated from some left wing hippy parent that didn’t vaccinate their kids, then decided to travel to countries that do still have these diseases.

There is nothing to worry about! Only innocent, refugee families that have been vaccinated and vetted are crossing our borders. What could possibly go wrong?

From what ive found in the CDC data, most of the countries in South America have vaccination rates equal to or higher than the US. This disease angle is a myth that’s been created to drive fear and panic.
