Why no 2nd amendment sanctuary in Ashe?

....Another painful demographic inevitability to ponder:

Cheap real estate down here super-attracts Manhattan transplants like myself. And what makes it cheap?

A big part of it is the Dixie flag, retrograde general ity that keeps out the Asheville crowd. I'm getting a mansion for what I paid for my one bedroom apartment. From the bottom of my greedy heart, thanks for that.

One of my liberal friends was yelling at me for living in Trump-land. I replied:

"I can't hear you, you're breaking up. The cell phone reception is terrible in my new billiards room".

Too old a demographic + too many BBQ sandwiches = A blue Ashe in less than a decade.

Yeah, I used to be part of that "blue wave" along with others my age. We grew up and decided to start thinking for ourselves.

Can we hear more about your pretend-shriner involvement?

Do you also pretend to wear the funny hat?

Ah, isn't she adorable with her big dreams and fantasies? She's like watching a one of those Shriners kids saying they are gonna he an astronaut when they grow up. You just pay them on the head and say absolutely because you don't have the heart to tell them the truth.

But for how much longer? 5 years? I'm part of the blue wave moving down here.

It aint anywhere near cresting. Your pretend faith healer of a congresswoman has at most one more term.

Was there ever any doubt with a republican led county?

Obama could be drinking champagne on a yacht with movie stars or rifling around in your garage searching for your blunderbuss.

I'm glad that things shook out your way.

Look, today was a huge victory for Ashe and the Constitution. Obama and Hillary can no longer come into our homes and steal our guns. Sheriff Howell said as much, as did the local Duma. Liberty is saved.

I heard that the guy who created the Proudboys pretty much ran screaming away from them.

Don't chase after him if you see him. That guy's been thru ****. Proudboy ****.

billythemountain

No. I refer to myself as a Proud Boy, and I sport a flatbrim hat with a ****sewn in.

I don't think that people who have mild philosophical differences with me HATE FREEDOM.

And I agree with the poster below who says that this made up in the shower pretend sanctuary status is toothless, gibbering grand standing. Even tho I probably agree with you at least 80% on gun issues.

Do you wear a tri-cornered hat to Dixie flag waving demonstrations and refer to yourself as an Oath Keeper?

If so, I'd like to buy you a drink.

billythemountain

No, they don't hate freedom anymore. They voted to protect freedom today. Before this morning, however, their inaction suggested they hated freedom. This is not rocket science, pan friend.

new2Ashe2

Has anyone in the history of planet earth ever really gone on record as "hating freedom"?

Has any non-knucklehead ever moaned about imaginary, non-existent people hating freedom?

But since I moved down here, I def want a handgun. Barney Fyfe will be late in arriving, assuming he even shows.

Better to be judged by 12 men than carried by 6.

Whether a county should be setting its own gun control laws on its own is something for crackpot who don't understand how the government works to worry about.

Looks like Tad McNulty got it put on Tuesday's agenda, like a good, empty-headed shill, pandering to the paranoids. I like that. I hope true patriots take off that day, pull lil Johnny and June out of school and fill the courthouse too. Your rights are at stake. Hopefully the Christofascist BOC will also rescind MLK Jr. Day. This meeting should be on Monday.

bluheel - You're making too much sense for my weak, narrow, warped, ignorant, paranoid mind. I'm still high from yesterday's Hannity show.

So where is all this paranoia coming from? Show us a credible source where Virginia's governor threatened to take guns from law abiding citizens. I am so dang sick of this crap. More stirring of the pot to distract from real issues. I thought In God WeTrust on the buildings and police cars took car of everything.

Kind of like what congress is planning trying to limit Trump's power. Symbolic at best. They should enjoy their limited time of doing nothing.

Adoption of the Second Amendment Sanctuary proclamations will make many feel better but will have little substance. To gain the maximum feel good from this type of proclamation it should be placed on the next general or special election ballot to let the voting public adopt it. This type of proclamation carries no weight of law, and does not out weigh the current federal powers, it only makes people feel better.

this type of action falls in with Sovereign citizen claims, makes people feel better, allows folks to attempt to circumvent existing laws and regulations.
