Ashes, I have no clue. I have not talked to or seen Sands in months. I am a lifelong Democrat. I will support and vote for Sands, Rhodes, and McNeill because I know them and they have gained my trust. Rhodes is not up for election this time. I have to decide between Blackburn and Dix. I know and respect both of them. I do not know Goss.

And SASSY, HOW IS THE OLD MAN FROM THE SEA? I hear he is not doing well these days.

And no Jack I not only talk to people I WAS THERE at the meetings. I witnessed first hand how Yearick bonded with the CITIZENS of Ashe. They adore and respect him. Unlike you who are hitting the bottle so much you are out of reality and proud to be there. You might want to try helping others in the county instead of lying on those who help and are decent citizens. You just make it up as you go. So sad jack.

Sicko jack, DON’T you need another drink. Blasting a county manager for not deserting his widowed mother. How low can you go. I bet your mother is proud of the lush she raised.

So potashe you talked to a fire club and a city council person and now you think Yearick was great. Did you happen to stop and think he had nothing better to do because he would only have to go to his mothers and play nursing home boy? He was not doing his job as was found out when he hit the door.

Ashes, you must be talking to the same citizens that gave us Roark, Rose, and Perry. That might be the same folks that gave us Price and Poe. Probably the same people who posted on this site in favor of Bufurt......the walking dumpster fire. In my opinion people need to stop voting straight party tickets. We need to go back to voting for people we know and trust......regardless of their political affiliation. In local races party has never been my first criteria. I vote for people who have earned my trust. I think we all should.

The citizens that I talk with say Yearick is the best county manager Ashe has ever had. When he first came I know he had numerous unfinished county issues which had not been settled by the previous managers. Of course they had quick exits. Seems like they left work about 4:00 pm or earlier to teach or whatever. I know YEARICK went to the fire department and city meetings that no manager had EVER attended. I saw a pic of him sitting right beside our governor. Of course this was not mentioned in our local papers. I am sure he stepped on quiet a few toes and fingers in an attempt to save our county money but you all don’t seem to care about the facts. Good thing some of the drunks and pervs on this site are not the representation of Ashe. I can’t wait to hear what YEARICK WILL REVEAL. SEEMS like all of a sudden it’s pay Yearick off he’s so bad. Funny how the unfab 4 bond to write that check. Bet his contract can’t be touched. SWOOSH!

The only two things I have a problem with regarding the current board is the continued money blowing on the asphalt plant and the continued money blowing airport. Other then those two items I am happy as if I were in the liquor store with a hot concubine in the car waiting. Pay Yearick and good riddance.

Same with the current board. What a mess.

It doesn't matter how you try to spin it. Ashe County will be better off with Yearick gone. He's a real piece of work and I'm glad they broke the mold.

The suit was settled under Yearick. It was started under Mitchell.

As I recall the combs lawsuit was under the sea hag mitchell. Anyway, it was prior to yearick.

The problem of cleaning the combs property began under McMillan. And the reason for the lawsuit.

And jack, you are a lost soul. Pitiful.

Because of the amount of litigation the County faces, they might need to keep tied up and on the payroll so to speak in order to make sure his testimony is the way the County wants it. At the point that he is paid off, he owes them nothing in these suits. I remember a number of cases where **** canning the manager cost the unit of government hundreds of thousands in lost litigation when a more professional separation would have created an obligation to bail them out.

That's called cutting of your nose to spite your face. From that standpoint the County may be stuck in the current holding pattern.

The combs lawsuit was under Yearick. If you feel so sorry for me buy me a half gallon of Jack Daniels. Just pay for it at the liquor store. I'll get it the next time I'm in.

There were lawsuits against the county in the past but were kept very quite. Remember lawsuit against manager pat for speaking about fired employee, former employee in board of elections, combs lawsuit. They have been lawsuits but they have been kept quite.

Dix goss Blackburn looking better all the time.

I feel sorry for Jack. He is a lost soul.

The wbtv mess was under the ancient one and everything since then. It appears the ancient one has vendetta and is using his position to carry it out against anyone that was not a buckwheat supporter. Even Ray Charles could see this.

I don’t think I would brag about paying Yearick off. Really he is out of that bad mess and just waits for his contract to be upheld. HE’s Winning.

Bad mess? He//'s Bells Yearick created the mess with corrupt appointments, quid pro quo hirings and who knows what else. The real winners are the citizens, employees and out of county folks who had to deal with this moron. I agree with Flames - good riddance. Pay him off, send him back to Caldwell County. He\\ I'll chip in some funds to get him gone.

Yearick was ignorant and was costing this county a ton of money by his lack of leadership skills. I can't recall any point in the past where lawsuit after lawsuit was filed against the county. With an attitude like know it all Yearick's - "It's the cost of doing busniess." it's no wonder there are so many now. The oust was a good riddance.
