Defending someone is perfectly fine. But bullying and harassing people in an attempt to scare them in to doing what you want is a criminal offense:
These are Class 2 misdemeanors, which have a maximum penalty of 60 days in jail and a $1,000 fine:
Further, impersonating an attorney in an attempt to extort information may also be a Class 1 misdemeanor.
I'm a firm advocate of free speech, but I'm not an advocate of bullying people or violating the law.

Also, any good local lawyers want to step up. I can offer a 20,000 retainer to start. I'm not sure more than that will be required. You would be working with a family attorney, so basically I'm just looking for a local mouthpiece.

Someone stole my phone and did many things I would not normally support. Since everything is on the complainants servers there are real evidentiary issues. Please focus on real criminals

To the DA: I know you don't want to waste prosecutorial and investigatory resources on such a petty case. .

I feel that I've made my point. I wish to avoid the burden of winning a trial to prove my innocence, and while I trust the DA is wise enough not to waste county resources on such a petty matter, I will err on the side of caution.
To that end: I would like to apologize to the woman who's phone number was posted, I hope you can get closer with your son. Someone stole my phone today and got really nasty with it.

I expect this topic will be avoided like the plague, and that's ok. With potential charges pending I wouldn't ask anyone to get involved. I'd hate for the DA to add RICO charges to what mr. N Wilkes is asking for, lol.

First a general request. I have spent a lot of time standing up for something and someone I believe in. A certain hypocrite and 'champion of free speech' wants the DA to press charges. What do you guys think? Does that sound like a good idea?
