Asphalt

Aw Shucks

Posted 4:41 pm, 09/03/2015

Roark is telling the Glendale crowd he will get them a moratorium but if permits have already been issued, I don't see how they can legally prevent them from constructing the plant at this point.

It's over a year away but I think I'll get a bumper sticker that says Stick a Fork in Roark.

Every jerk off that wants to stop asphalt plants should have to live on dirt roads

From the actions of the discussion they had in their planning session it appears they all have been approached by someone wanting them to stop the plant.

All I've heard about was pollution concerns and numbers thrown around, yet no proof of any of it.

Anymore Gary Roark promises from the Hardees crowd? I hear the McDonalds crowd has disappeared.

According to the rep at the last meeting all permits are in place but the air quality permit. I was assuming that came from the state.

Who has the power over in glendale over Roark?

Mark your calendars if you care. Sept. 8, the Commissioner's meeting has an agenda item for a presentation on a moratorium of polluting industries followed by one for the permit of the asphalt plant. Neat scheduling.

Which retired trooper was it?

underdog2

Oh and a retired Johnny trooper came before the board and told them it was their job to collect these back taxes and if they couldn't do their jobs then he would run for county commissioner and do it for them.

I just watched the commissioner meeting from 8-17 and the man from Appalachian resources made total fools out of the mouth breathers about the plant. You have to listen to their discussion in their planning session prior to the meeting. They have been working with the county for 3 months and have all the permits but the air quality and its on the way.

Very true Bear, it's that way everywhere you go..

How would a closed session on this not be illegal?

underdog2

Posted 1:22 pm, 09/01/2015

Again our uneducated mouth breathers act. The plant would only be temporary and would only operate in warm months, about 6 months.

Everyone wants a good road to travel, but no-one wants a plant to produce the needed materials.

Anyone keeping up with the flak being raised over the commissioners trying to hold a closed session on the new plant? A lot of folks demanding a public hearing.

Obviously no one with a grain of intelligence frequents hardees and tells the head mouth breather how stupid he is.

Maybe Gary Roark can stop it with his "moratorium" as he has promised everyone at Hardee's, if his cows are not out roaming!
