At the beginning of the American Revolution in 1775, Benedict Arnold was a merchant whose intelligence and bravery moved him quickly to the rank of major general in the Continental Army. Stymied in his ambitions to move further forward in his career, Arnold became frustrated and embittered. He decided in 1779 to betray the United States and become a British agent. He was exposed in 1780 � he escaped to the British and became a brigadier general in their army. The Bible tells how Judas decided to betray Jesus in Luke 22:4-6: " He went away and conferred with the chief priests and officers how he might betray Him to them. And they were glad, and agreed to give him money. So he consented and sought an opportunity to betray Him to them in the absence of a crowd." Judas was loyal to Jesus until Jesus didn't behave the way Judas thought He should. Just a Thought � 4/17/14
