Why is the State involved in this issue? This is a local issue. The State should not be dictating local planning. If you have an issue, work with you local politicians. More of the legislature bs.

They are involved because a city can control in area in the ETJ which extends I mile outside the city limits. If your property is in the ETJ the city can control it with zoning laws and you have no say since you cant vote in town elections. the town can do what ever they want and you have no say in the matter.

Gov't will do as it pleases.. How much simpler can that be?

This is a bill that needs to pass. I have already sent off two letters and ten emails in support of this.

Last year the GA removed Boones ETJ authority and now it looks like they want to do it across the state.
