When I go on with a run on sentence that should have been broken up at least a couple times, then you can call me out for failing to punctuate.

Soap, while dog didn't think to clarify, I'm pretty sure he was referring to the Post. Given they are the only pay paper and have was the original pPer for the county, they should be reporting news like this. We've made it clear before that the Times is the only one that reports any news at all. And they miss a lot.

would have to disagree with you jrscott because he had 5yr to come clean and help was offered but he didn't seem to want help . They should have pursued help mentally also even his wife has been scared of him and as far as fairness goes the deputies never should have to be put in this position . Once again I hate it for the family especially his kids their awesome and well mannerd and I know they are hurting but they will get through it all

Joesph right now I would rather see him tell why he has two officers on the payroll that are being sued civil. I really would like the see the trial on tv.
The sheriff must have the paper boys on his payroll since none of them have mentioned the suit.

Scud you cannot involuntarily force an adult into drug treatment......you would first have to declare him mentally incompetent, get a judge to agree, and then put him in treatment. A process that is long difficult and painful.
Forced treatments seldom work though, the individual has to want to change. So saying his family should of done more is unfair to them.

yad12 just for your info they was already after him and when he stopped he was in the road not his property and yes it could have been different he could have been sober and could have listened also his family could have sent him off and got him dried out along time ago . We love his family and may our prayers lift them up but the law is here to protect citizens that are afraid and make sure innocent drivers and shatly road neighbors are safe because the neighbors were terrified of him when he got on these drunks

DEATH ROW INMATE!!!!!! your handle says alot!! LOL!!! Dallas Shatley, was on his own property, not on a public highway, or any other type of properties!! He was on HIS OWN PROPERTY, DA!!! This situation could have been handled alot better, and alot smarter,without Mr.Shatley getting shot two times,which lead to his death! A senseless act by over zealous cops, and overlooked by morons like you!!! I hope the day comes, when they roll up in your yard, if you own one, and start the same bs with you!! So you to, can understand the senseless actions, that lead to a needless murder of a person, on their own property! If they are on their own propery, they can drink as much as they want, and shouldnt be bothered by authorities, unless they have a legal reason to be there to serve a warrant,stop a crime, or protect the neighborhood!!! Just because a MORON like you, approves of such behavior, doesnt mean the rest of us agree!!! Especially, when this has happened on two different occasions now!!!! YOU MORON!!!!!!
