Why would he fly when he has a johnny trooper to drive him anywhere he desires? The landing strip might have been too busy with all the commercial traffic it has daily.

You have to be a member to land at elk River. And like flash said, it's only good for a stunt pilot.

I doubt it. Elk is not an ideal landing strip to say the least. My guess is that he was on a whistlestop tour and drove the whole route.

His patrol officer drove him to several stops. I saw where he was in Wilkes also. He did not fly into Wilkes either

4 of us had a private meeting with the governor this morning. I can assure you that none of the mouth breathers were among us. I asked him why he drove up and didnt fly into the airport. He laughed and asked me if I was kidding. I said no, its supposed to be so good since 7.5 million has been spent on the landing strip.
We discussed the failure of the mouth breathers to get WCC here and he said to tell him who these idiots were so he could steer clear of them. We discussed some other business and ended the meeting with a look see at some of our finest hot teachers and ex-teachers.
