Yes, a convicted and admitted thief. Made restitution, still a thief. Did community service, still a thief. Turned in her law license, still a thief. Even if she were to be allowed to practice law again, who would or could trust her? Maybe used to be "good people", but she sure screwed up that reputation all on her own.

Other than being a NC State fan Sherri was "pretty good people".

She can request reinstatement if she has paid all the restitution. Few if any, lawyers are reinstated even if they everything back.

Will Ms Hodges be eligible to request reinstatement of her license at some point? And if so what are the chances that it will be reinstated?

And, I will say it again lawyers can't be trusted.

I asked somebody that works at the courthouse and knew her pretty well. He said it was paid in full and she got off probation a few years ago. Its probably on file somewhere in the clerk's office if you know where to look or ask.

She was convicted as a class H felon. She was not sentenced to jail but given probation on all charges.

While looking at some of the current news and archives I came across some of the stories about some of Ashe counties more famous white collar criminals, some as current as Gerald Price, Andrea Reeves, and Michelle Shepherd but I can't find any information on Sherrie Hodges other than NC DPS http://webapps6.doc.state.n...age=1Looks like she had over 30 felonies but did no time unlike Michelle Shepherd. You see her around town all the time and yes there is a difference between their charges, class H to class C, but I cant even find a news article as to what the original crime or charges were, Anybody know or was money paid to keep it hush hush. This is public record so the information has to out there somewhere
