It did not matter what road you were on yesterday the conditions deteriorated yesterday. Add stupidity into that equation it makes for a long afternoon.
421 was just as bad as 221 on my drive from Boone to Ashe.

You turn off 221 to 421 to get to the ski slopes in NC.

To get to sugar, app or beach from 221 in Ashe county you take 421. Enough.

As usual 221 is slick and the DOT is doing a half *** job of clearing it while 421 is in good shape. I saw a DOT truck go by about an hour ago scraping but not putting any salt or slang down and it is getting slick and traffic is starting to slow down to a crawl.
